Both Hufflepuff and Slytherin are extremely underrated. people think all Hufflepuffs are wimps, and that all Slytherin's are evil. This is most definitely not true. Hufflepuffs are fair and hardworking. They don't crack under pressure and they can overcome challenges. They accept people for who they are and don't judge. They do what is right over what is easy. The problem is that they don't care what everyone says about them because in their heart they know they're amazing, so they don't feel the need to prove their awesomeness. They fought at the battle of Hogwarts because it was right, not for the glory or credit. Plus Tonks, J.K.Rowling, Cedric Diggory and Newt Scamander are all Hufflepuffs, proving their awesomeness. In some ways, I think Slytherin is rather similar to Hufflepuff. For example, both houses are hard workers, it's just the difference of determination versus ambition. What I'm mentally sorting someone (yes I do that sometimes) if I think they're suitable for Hufflepuff I usually reevaluate and think maybe they're better in slytherin, because there's just a slight difference in the way they do things. But Slytherins get a bad rep because of their ambition. Some Slytherins are overly ambitious and they do whatever it takes to surpass success, not leaving fowl play out of the picture. Because of this, the Slytherins we mostly hear about are the ones that were evil and did exactly that. This doesn't mean that all Slytherins are like that at all. Slytherins are sly and cunning, and never give up on their dreams. They aren't like Gryffindors who are sometimes headstrong and don't think things through properly(no offense to any Gryffindors). They plan things out carefully to mix up a recipe for success. This doesn't mean that they're evil!! Also Merlin and Andromeda Tonks were both slytherins, and they were definitely not evil. So be proud of your house, and know that you are NOT a wimp, and you are NOT evil. #hufflepuffpride #slytherinpride And this, by the way, is coming from a Ravenclaw.💙💛💚❤️

See?! All the houses get a bad rep from someone. Slytherin is obvious, people say they're evil. People hate on Slytherin relentlessly. It makes me sad. I'm a Hufflepuff but my best friend is a Slytherin and even SHE thought they were bad. When she got her result on PotterMore she called me and started flipping out. I had to convince her that Slytherin was good too, and she's still skeptical. Ravenclaw probably gets the least hate, but it's definitely there, and it's sad. People call them bossy, uptight, and small minded. They say they aren't open to anything, and that they're workaholics who don't care about having friends. None of this is true. I have... a LOT of Ravenclaw friends and they are sweet, kind, and caring. They are also just really really smart too! Gryffindor, surprisingly, gets a lot of hate too. People say that Gryffindors are 'just saying they're in the house because HP was in it'. People call them arrogant, stupid and say they're 'all jocks'. None of this is true. They just value bravery and courage. What's so bad about that? Finally, Hufflepuff. Oh, Hufflepuff, the most hated upon house of all. (Don't agree? Go to Harry Potter World and look at the ratio of Hufflepuff to Slytherin, or Hufflepuff to Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff to Gryffindor. You will see.) Hufflepuffs are named as boring, dumb, and untalented. People say that we are just 'side dishes' and we aren't. We are kind, good hearted people who just care about everyone. We want to help people, and we are smart and incredibly hard working. We value kindness. There is nothing wrong with that. Even my mom kind of thinks of my house like this. Me: Mom, I'm a Hufflepuff. Mom: No, I think you're Gryffindor. Me: Mom, I just said I'm in Hufflepuff. Mom: You're too smart to be in Hufflepuff, honey. Me: Mom, I am a Hufflepuff! Mom: Oh sweetie, don't look down on yourself. Me: Grrr... This has gotten better and my mom understands now, but it was annoying for a while. So... yeah! That's all the hate. Goodbye! Ranter-of-the-gods OUT.

Most Hufflepuffs are but their families aren't. Hufflepuffs are regarded as the outcasts of Hogwarts but I'm extremely happy being a Hufflepuff. Honestly, Hufflepuffs each have their own interests and personalities but the main characteristic of a Hufflepuff is loyalty (a trait we share with Slytherins) so we will stand up for our house and host members. Also Hufflepuff didn't actually get noticed because the book was told in the perspective of a Gryffindor.

HUFFLEPUFF CAN'T BE WORSE. THEY ARE LOYAL AND FAIR. As of a week or so ago I wanted to be re-sorted into Hufflepuff (Ravenclaw second, which I was originally sorted into). And Hufflepuffs have the best decor & architecture in their rooms. And that broad stone corridor leading to the kitchens is beautiful too. And badgers are so cute (eagles are okay, but I love badgers). And while I only have 2 favorite Ravenclaw characters (3 if you include Prof. Flitwick) from Harry Potter, I have several favorite Hufflepuff characters.

I am a proud hufflepuff, where are my fellow proud Hufflepuffs? My friends knew I was Hufflepuff. I knew it. I wanted to be in Hufflepuff then I took eight personality quizzes to see my Hogwarts house. Three Ravenclaw and, guess what, five Hufflepuff. Actually I don't act ravenclaw at all yet I am in the house.. and tbh it really doesn't matter because okay sorry to burst your bubble but Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin make no sense why? Because our personality is always changing, sometimes we feel as we value bravery the most, but then we start valuing intelligence or loyalty or manipulation and also we have every trait anytime anywhere so we actually can be in any house we want to be in as it is all subjective and it will all be up to you to decide for example "I think I am in Ravenclaw because I like to read and I study a lot" "But I also value friends a lot and I care so much so maybe Hufflepuff" "But I also value bravery and I really can get real angry so Gryffindor?" "But Prankings kinda fun and I have so much ambition and like power..slytherin??" See that...thats all of us..so if thats the case we all can be any house at any time. Sorry its just like how I see it (I also know many Hufflepuffs that are not nice at all )
