HUGE £631 EBAY 1/35 & 1/72 MODEL HAUL UNBOXING; TAMIYA, HASEGAWA, ICM, AZ MODEL, IBG, SWORD, A-MODEL

Welcome to my Channel; Novice Modelling and the Midlife Crisis. This is a quick film of some recent purchases I made on Ebay. I am new to both this modelling and Youtubing malarkey. My intention is to learn the various techniques required to successfully produce half decent KZbin videos and of course learn the variety of skills required to produce half decent looking models. Hi Andy.Right,I will start with the kits. Could you do a in the box review of the ICM Dornier Do 17 Z2 and the Gladiator and Arado 196 kit, plus also the Centauro. The radar on the Barracuda is the bulge in the belly in front of the tail wheel. The putty's I would recommend the Valejo as it cures very quickly and smooth. The humbrol,Mr and tamiya ones are quite runny so you have to get them on quick and use a flat edge to spread them smooth. You can use liquid poly glue with them to make them spread easier. You could also have looked on KZbin and seen people making 'spruegoo' which is liquid poly glue with chopped up bits of sprue. Its like a very strong putty and because its mainly plastic it sands down like the kit it is applied to,just a tip for you. That word you stuggled with is pronounced "Ab,Ti,Lung" I think that it means regiment in German. Nice to see that you got the third book in the series of Panzer colours ( my bibles ). I really do like those really old Tamiya (Riko) Japanese aircraft, lovely colours. If you ever need help with one let me know. One other tip for you. Try to buy what you need and not what you think you need, it will save you money. Most of us 'older' modellers already know what works for us so maybe you should ask us before you buy,we will tell you the best products to use. I understand why your doing this but it will cost you a fortune for things that will sit in a box. Nice to see you got a proper face mask. Good luck buddy and enjoy your rising sun legacy.

Hi Brian, I'll do the Dornier for you no probs, the Centauro and the gladiator/arado are all ready on the hit list. Regarding my excessive spending i hear what your saying but things like the putty and the brushes, which i have loads are theoretically video ideas for the future, if i was not doing this KZbin malarkey i would be far more restrained with my expenditure, the same goes for the kit buying, which is ludicrous LOL, but i now find myself in the position where if i wanted, i could pretty much do a "whats in the box" vid everyday until Christmas, probably longer. Also at some point i am going to have to say enough is enough with the kits, as building them all will take years. i am close to reaching that point now as storage is becoming a serious issue.

Hi Andy...just to let you know that the ME 209 was an experimental development of the 109. It was fitted with a Daimler Benz DB 603 engine and had an inwardly retracting landing gear. It was not produced in quantity and was never used operationly.

Thanks @tonymorgan9533 it is a rather pretty looking aircraft. i have a bit of a pile of Experimental/drawing board only, jet and piston German aircraft. there is a bit of a plan going on behind my buying madness and these are a small part of it.

A very interesting ice haul there. Not got that encyclopedia of German tanks looks nice . Used Vallejo putty ,didn't like it or Mr surfacer . Old Tamiya planes be interesting to see 👀. Tasty Japanese beir, biscuits and sake welljell 😭

somebody recomended the encyclopedia, pretty sure he was aiming to build everything in it, only flicked through it looked very comprehensive though. only paid £12 . I have tried and hated Revell plasto, been recommended every other type it seems, so have decided to give them all a go, will probs try do a video of the whole shambles as well LOL.

Hi Andy. Just quickly watched the vid. I will choose a few to look at tomorrow. Just some info for you. The Messerschmit 209 was a one off I think or maybe even a paper prototype but the Germans definately did build a 309 . It had tricycle undercarriage, and the twin 109 was another paper prototype .It only had one cockpit and the other was to be used for more fuel. I think that it was to be a high altitude intercepter. I do like the Dornier Do17 z2. A very late variant. Look at the Airfix one for the early variant The Z2 has a different cockpit and radial engines whereas the Airfix has the original inline engines and different cockpit glazing

Hi Brian you really are a veritable encyclopedia of information. The 309 is on the way in a delayed ebay order, due end of the month, the twin 109 is just another flight of fantasy by the german aircraft industry, the 209 does look a rather nice plane though. Happy to do a few whats i the boxes, though there is a long list already LOL, have a look at the Japanese that i am going to try get built over the next 10 days. be seeing you andy.

Andy excellent beer, but tremendous box openings, AWESOME kits with lots of aviation history. Looks like you'll be busy for a long time for sure. The Indian motorcycle pretty rare too. Check to see if there’s an International Plastic Model Society in your neck of the woods. Some clubs do auctions. Great way to build up a stash for cheap.

Good haul,as always,must admit I haven't done any aircraft since I came back in to moderling last year after 35 years, but them small 1_72 kits are a good way to practise, also you done the right thing getting a good mask with filters,and that Thunder model Indian should be a nice kit,I have a few 1/35 scale motorcycles,from Tamiya,Zvezda, Ibg,thay can add that bit of interest in any diarama.you have s good few kits now ,,like me to last in to the next century lol

Try and find Hasegawa - Kawanishi E7K1 Type 94 Model 1 Reconnaissance Seaplane. It has a nice catapult that comes with airplane. Hasegawa and Fujimi have nice japan ww 2 era aircraft. ICM new tool Ki-21 Sally is very good.

Some. Beautiful kits . It's pronounced Poly Karpov lol 😀 Love the Carp it and breuget 19 and Lublin XVIII are a nice diarama subject . Me209 was a speed record aircraft which was used as propaganda that it was in service. Enjoy your kit making

I use Tamiya putty and Tamiya thinner for filling. Cotton swabs dipped in thinner helps clean up. Thinner and toothpicks help in application.
