I'm proud to say that I wore my mum's clothes back in high-school (mum jeans, high waisted skirts, blazers and linen jackets back in 2009) and everyone was looking at me like I was an alien but I really liked the aesthetics and went for it.. Who's laughing now right :D

Your mom and I probably have the same age. My style was less stylish and more rock. I had the same shorts though but I used to combine them with oversized t-shirts or cropped overized t shirts, headbands, large earrings from street artists and snickers. My favorite was the Stan Smiths. I hate the 80's fashion, but we were young and it makes me feel nostalgic seeing you in your mother's clothes!

You looked beautiful in every outfit you tried on! You must be built just like your mother for those outfits to have fit like they did. Even the pieces that you said you would not probably wear "out of the house" (like the pink suit with the color block jacket) I think are totally wearable today. As a matter of fact, color block clothing items are a current design trend. Even the items that were a little big - looked great on your figure. Trim body types can wear roomy clothes without looking dumpy. So In my opinion (not that it is worth much...) you just filled your closet with clothes you can totally wear today. The only thing I can see that "has to be done" is the shortening of the black pants. You are good to go! Lucky for you! Bless you!
