Been fishig that creek over 40 years..caught a 30 incher down where it runs into the New a few years ago..get yourself a fly rod and some big streamers(6-8") especially now while water is running high.You'll not catch many,but you might catch a monster.

Hi there, congratulations for the nice fish, that trout is definitely a trophy, my wife and I love trout fishing and we definitely wanna gave it a try, can u please put more into about the name of the town and the river, we are from Charlotte NC, where is the nearest town or direccion to go to this place, in advance thank you so much and God bless!

I caught this one in Lansing NC. Right on the park near the pavilion. You can fish both sides of the creek so you have a lot accessibility! I think the creek is called Big Horse Creek but this is just the section going through the park. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you!

just so ya know when you catch a good sized fish like that just hold them in the water to recover (in some current is best) never pull one back and forth like that , not sure why people think that's the thing to do but forcing water backwards thru a fishes gills is really bad for them --- kinda like waterboarding
@shanghunter76974 жыл бұрын
Stellar communication there (just so ya know). People love being told what to do by youtube professionals (sarcasm). Everyone else in the comment section are classy and respectful BUT you ! Also notice how you just couldn't bring yourself to admit that it was a nice trout. Very nice trout, isn't it aneurysm ?
@GenX...MCMLXV3 жыл бұрын
@@shanghunter7697 Listen snowflake, I've seen dozens of fish dead in the water people have released and they died from mis-handling or keeping out of the water for some silly "photo op" and most of these people I am sure were clueless that it even happened. SO , it was a matter of fact comment to educate people. BTW, large trout like that in public water are most likely a spent broodfish from the hatchery so no, nothing to admit about a "nice fish"........... Sounds like you need to flitter on back to your delusional land of unicorns and lollipops fruitcake..

@@GenX...MCMLXV here in nc trout live throughout the year. It’s cause we got cooler mountain water where he is. He probably was stocked a few years ago and was never caught.

Just came across this video, nice browns. But wanted to let you know about the first one. The reason it had no red spots was due to it being a Scottish Brown. Scottish Browns won’t have any red unlike the German/European Brown. These are actually the only two species of brown. Looks can be deceiving though. By this I mean that you can find multiple designs of browns that may truly look like a different type but their habit and what they feed off of is what causes them to have the look they have. Hope it made sense. But that brown was a hog for sure.

Man thats awesome. I told you those browns can't stay off that firetiger pattern. That thing was HUGE

Wouldn't be surprised if that fish died. You spent way to much time stroking your ego showing him off. Why? Catch the fish maybe 1 or 2 seconds out of the water for the camera and let it go. People constantly kill fish like this.
@jaredperkins80664 жыл бұрын
Hey man, I have an idea....if you wanna comment some negativity without seeing everything that dosen't get shown on film why don't you go catch a big brown and show us the correct way to do things.I have caught large trout before and had issues getting the hook removed and they were totally fine, even though it took longer than expected to get em back into the water. Dude isn't "stroking his ego", he is simply catching fish, and sharing his videos for people to watch.
@ericrollins46074 жыл бұрын
I would have to agree, this fish took way too long to "revive" and chances are good that it probably didn't survive. If you plan on releasing a fish you shouldn't take it out of the water long. Look how long elapsed between the time he took it out of the water and when the fish was put back. I'd like to see Jared hold his breath that long and see how he feels.
@chrisdavis1373 жыл бұрын
Sounds like someone jealous??? That fish is perfectly fine dude if he wasn't going to make it he would of bellied up he didn't have him out of the water long he only did one thing wrong swaying the fish back and forth causing the fish to get sediment in his gills instead off letting the fish get it's bearings he should held him in the water holding him with fingers in the mouth held him there the fish will let u know when he's ready to go usually they will bite you're fingers then you just let go and he will swim off
@zygbeatty14983 жыл бұрын
@@chrisdavis137 jealous? Of what exactly? Killing a fish? That doesn't even make sense. Fish die all the time that swim away, they don't have to go "belly up" immediately. Your lack of understanding is clear with you sediment comment. What do you think happens when it rains and the river is thick with sediment. Look we have probably all killed fish that we have released I know I have but that fish was out of the water way too long.
@chrisdavis1373 жыл бұрын
@@zygbeatty1498 so I have a lack of understanding huh rocking the fish backwards and fowards in the water does damage the gills suspended sediment and turbidity can result in the direct mortality of fish by damaging and clogging the gills of thefish and accumulation of sediment in the gills of fish can make them fatigued enough to where they can't clear there gills out so by the way sediment does effect fish
