There was two things that kept me from buying a Wonder RTB. The 2021 finally changed to the Ford Chassis GAS but I wasn't happy woth the Solar. I left many recommendations to get rid of those flex panels and it looks like they listened. I'm thrilled they removed the microwave off the inverter. The draw was too much when used as an oven. Yes it's extra due to the changes but they are focusing on safety. I absolutely love the twin beds with the garage space. After having two Treks stolen off the back, that garage is a must... More room for extra generators too. Thank you for this year's updates...

Ask LTV to bring back their Regency GT line, discontinued in 2013. It was a true 4 season coach on the E450 chassis that could be modified to 4WD. Looking at the demand for the Winnebago EKKO, a new Regency GT would be huge.

Many induction cook tops offered in MH's are portable like a hot plate only lighter and thinner. The ICT could be stored in a drawer or even taken outside to cook with and doesn't need a gas hookup.

I would love to see a pet friendly outside storage unit big enough for litter box that can be converted with access from inside with a cat door. So many of us travel with a cat and have to find a place inside for a box the cat can access, without us seeing, smelling, or hearing our baby go.

The Fit RV channel did just that in their EKKO. I don't think you could do it in an LTV as the inverter is just on the other side of the door panel where they put it. But it was an ingenious litter box placement.

I have a 2023 Wonder RTB on order with Van City and my salesperson said there is a good chance LTV will be switching to compressor refrigerators and offer auto leveling jacks on the Wonder which is the reason I decided to wait a few more months for a 2023 model. I’m also hoping they upgrade the lithium package to a Lithionics 320 AH battery and 3000A inverter like you installed on your Unity. I would also like to see a full time rear view camera. A separate alternator to charge the coach batteries would be nice.

@@Pagosa They used to make something pretty equal to the EKKO except not AWD. It was called the Triple E Regency GT and built on E450 chassis. Scarce on the used market and commanding HIGH prices. Dean from LTV demonstrated it in sub zero temperatures. Time to bring it back, especially the 24 ft Murphy bed model. They could even offer it on a Quigly-modified AWD chassis that preserves the Ford warranty.

Ford offers a 31 gal gas tank as an option on their Transit Vans. The standard gas tank is 25 gal. and that is what LTV is offering. Now that the generator is gas, and the fact that the Wonder only gets about 12 to 13 MPG, the range of the Wonder is lacking. Winnebago is offering a 31 gal tank on their EKKO Ford Transit Van as is Coach House's Ford Transit chassis Van. LTV needs to upsize their gas tank!

I may have missed you stating this. The 2022 Unity will have a tire pressure monitoring system on board for all six tires. I would rate this as THE most important addition given its unparalleled safety value. As for LTV in general, it would be nice if they were more open to customization. They seem extremely rigid in their design flexibility. For example, why not allow the buyer to choose a 2000 watt inverter or a 3000 watt inverter? Why not allow the buyer to select a single 300+ amp hour lithium battery or a pair of 100 amp hour lithium batteries? Why not allow the buyer to select the wattage size of the hard solar panels? Unity use varies significantly from one owner to the next, and the size of the inverter, lithium battery amp hours, and solar panel wattage total matter. Yet, they make a generic, one-size-fits-all choice for all of these options. The Unity is built to order. Hence, these are simple! customizations.

Unfortunately they still won’t have the tire pressure monitoring system on the Unity according to my sources as well as it’s not listed on their ‘22 changes sheet. The Wonder has it, but it’s still won’t be included in the ‘22. Not sure why it’s not a feature on the MB chassis, but would be nice. I think we will see a “boondockers” option for ‘23 with Lithionics 315 and 3k inverter.

@@Pagosa Actually, I corresponded directly with LTV a couple of weeks ago, and they confirmed that the 2022 Unity will have a tire pressure monitoring system. My question: Why does the Unity not have a tire pressure monitoring system? *Their reply*: Our current Unity models that are based on the Mercedes Sprinter chassis unfortunately does not feature a tire pressure monitoring system, however the Mercedes chassis will be featuring this system on our 2022 models. I hope you are correct about the "boondocker's" option as described in your comment. That is a HUGE! need for those folks who use their Unity off-grid.

I would like to see several options: 1. More windows. I like the open view of serenity and windows from the back. Even if there is no window, it should still give me an option to use the full view from the back. Why is that covered and cannot be open view ? 2. Can FX have a power bed in the back similar to serenity ? 3. While the murphy bed is up in FX, there is no way to use the windows. Any options to have windows while the bed is up? 4. I hear that the factory can provide heated tanks. If I use well-insulated window covers, then what else is needed to use it for four seasons? Already going to use Lithium batteries and 400 W solar.

The windows in the FX is my biggest gripe with my floorplan for sure. They actually made a prototype that had some cut outs that you could use the windows while bed was up, not sure what happened to that. They could add the Serenity bed as I believe it's the same layout, but doubt they will. As far as four seasons, the lithium would need a heater as well. My Lithionics has a built in heater, but most consumer lithium batteries don't. The heated tanks would help, but they are still exposed with the some pipes exposed, so not sure how much heated tanks would help.

Nixing the Wonder MB was a great idea. The murphy bed on that one was awkward. I always wondered who would choose that over the Unity MB. Happy about the "Shadow"! They should add that marker you had to put in with white nail polish on the Truma aqua controller. As well as make the Max Air fan an option at least. Otherwise they made smart decisions with everything else. Taking away inverting the microwave is mean though. 😌

Bought one, will give it a try since there are no fumes like with burning LP.

We are actually a Lithionics dealer and outfit many LTVs to high capacity batteries. The new Onan LP generators have a year plus lead time, due to supply chain, so don't see those being in rigs for years to come.

@@Hogger280 Winnebago prob bought all that Onan had at the time. I actually have my sources out for some as there is a new device to mount them under Airstreams. The Ekko is a great rig for sure. The Wonder and Ekko are on the same transit chassis and have a 5,000 pound rated hitch. However with the GCVWR it is closer to 4K you can actually tow. It was just 2000 pounds a few years ago.

We have a 2022 UTB on order. We were going to pick the cashmere finish but our dealer ( who has been selling LTV forever... retiring this year) mention the espresso and maple were solid wood while the new colors were more of a lighter ? Laminate type finish. And suggested we would be better off with the solid cabinets .... so we have gone with the maple ( it was our second choice) Just something to think about... for the wonders I believe the rift and cashmere are your only options

I was really hoping the HUGH News would be heated holding tanks and moving pluming lines inside the coach so that I can camp during the shoulder months (late fall and early spring). Even better would be full 4-season, but I understand that would add a lot of weight and cost. The change over from flex solar panels to rigid units is big news, which makes me wonder (no pun intended) if I should upgrade to the new panels on my current van.

I don't, but to be honest, I don't think I would like that. A multiplex can be good, but at the end of the day, you are scrolling through menus to do simple tasks. A light switch is easy and always works without having to reboot the system. All of the other controls are in one place and really easy. Great choice on the FX!

Highly disagree about removing the microwave from being on the inverter circuit. It's just people's lack of knowledge on how much energy a microwave needs. I'll be using my own LiFePO4 batteries instead of buying theirs. Hopefully it's a simple fix.

It's very frustrating that LTV's own website is not fully updated, even FOUR months after this video was posted. Murphy Bed is still described as a choice on the Wonder. The website also doesn't seem to state if the awesome Transit chassis is the new AWD or if it's RWD. The Wonder is not on my short list yet b/c it's not closer to four-season ready like the EKKO. I still have a couple years, so I'm hopeful it will be by then.

If you search the LTV groups on Facebook there are several posters with photos of the issue. Mine are still good, but LTV has switched out of offering flex for rigid.

Concerning discontinuing the Wonder MB model is probably a good thing. LTV is not alone in this as many manufacturers offer similar, and probably one of the worst floor plans. This is true either/or seating. If a spouse or partner wants to turn in early, or sleep in...there goes your seating as the MB is extended. Cab seats are literally next to the MB...you have to head outside with the mosquitoes. At least with the RL, it converts to a Murphy bed...and the forward dining or jump seats are still available.

I think they discontinued the MB for the RL. The Unity MB has an almost king size bed due to the slide out but the Wonder, with no slide was a small and awkward bed. The RL basically has the same setup, so assume that's why they did that.

I was going to buy the MB model Wonder until I sat in one of the two seats in front of the MB. I even told the National Sales guy, forgot his name now, that I could not see how anyone could sit on them for more than a couple minutes. Did they put them in just for show, for surely no one could say they were comfortable to sit in to watch TV or whatever. So, decided to wait and see if they went to better seating, but no way after 3 years. Love the openness and roominess of the front twin bed unit. I am still considering it, but also starting to wonder if I could be happy with a smaller Travato like RV, all lithium unit, since there is just me and my mini-dachshund. Would like to do a sports stadium tour around the country over a couple years, seeing and evaluating each facility from a fans perspective.

Did you have a soft start installed on your ac and then have it run to the inverted circuit when you did the lithionics upgrade? Was it difficult to add it to the inverter line? Trying to figure out the microwave not off the inverter...like why?

I do have the soft start and Moving the AC to inverted side is pretty simple. I think they are trying to get people to get the lithium option as I’m sure it’s a high profit margin for them.

We had ordered a new LTV in 2020 but then of course didn't get it. We just received the 2022 updated order form (significant increase in price from what it was when we originally placed our order) so I guess the factory is gearing up again. When I saw you mention the 6 aluminum wheels were standard on this video, I was elated as we were planning on getting them so the tire pressure could be more easily taken, anyway, the "Build and Price" software on the LTV website still shows alum wheels as an upgrade and charges for them. I called the main office to ask about this, but haven't received a call back yet. Any other info on the wheels as of Aug 2021?

Not sure when but the big change (negative one) is making the 4.0kw Owan standard instead of optional. Have concerns (even though I have never been in a LTV yet). rate of gasoline consumption and being located below the rear lounge. Would have liked not to have it and take my Honda 2000i. 10db quieter and consumes less fuel. We are in the north and in general do not use AC except for when we have shore power. It is not a deal breaker though.

I am not clear why the Unity would need 4wd. It lacks the ground clearance, the needed off-road tires, and the needed suspension to tackle anything beyond a paved road or a hard packed, flat, dirt road. Likewise, it's not a winter vehicle. On those rare occasions when you wake up to some snow at the campground (as we did in Bryce), you just hang for a few extra hours at the campground until the snow disappears (which it did, and we drove at a safer speed to Zion). Worse case scenario, you ask if you can stay on hook-ups for another evening. If not, they'll certainly let you boondock on the property for the night. At 15,250 pounds and 8 feet wide, the Unity is a serious vehicle. Driven well below the speed limit and with caution, it will be fine. Not driven when the roads have been compromised by snow, sleet, and/or heavy rain is the best decision: just stay put. If people want to wish for anything for the Unity, it should be AWD. Having owned several 4WD vehicles and several AWD vehicles, I can say without hesitation that AWD is far superior.

Would like to see what the (hopefully) added weight limits are. I guess I had thought some of the models (especially Wonders) were limited to 2 seat belts because of overall weight concerns. Would love for all models to have a minimum of 4 seat belts, and also if practical slightly larger water tanks in the few that are relatively smaller now. Also agree that leveling jacks on the Wonder would be nice ... I think I have seen some KZbin videos ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWPcfqGNgrF4ec0 ) where they were added after market to the Wonder .

The deletion of the Rear Lounge Murphy Bed for the Wonder 2022 model, is personally a very big disappointment. It was a great outstanding feature that stood out from the rest of the manufacturers, and was high on my list for consideration for a 2022 Wonder model. It was one of the main reassigns for me to consider this vehicle over any other RV of a similar size and finish, that was till you mentioned it and it's demise was just made clear!

Leisure travel vans are nice RV's but the colors inside could be better! and the prices are just wrong.. although Covid pricing is wrong too! what would be nice is to buy a empty shell option so we could build our own at half the price!

They've upped their game with the interior colors thankfully, but the price is whatever people are willing to pay. I've been offered more than new retail for my LTV, so I know the willingness to pay is there. Many people do van builds, so you could look into that.

Pricing obviously is working for a lot of customers as you cannot get one for a year or two. I would love to see the price lower too but they must be doing something right to sell so many and have such a long waiting list.

@@seanshea11 The manufacturers back log is because of the covid.. lack of parts as the other companies making some of their parts are behind because of shut downs and lack of employees 😒 not to mention high prices from everyone buying rv's due to the lack of travel outside of their country! The good thing will be when borders open up and the people will have no need for the Van's so the market will be flooded! we should get a good price down the road lol

I'm sure it could be installed later, but may cost way more than just getting from LTV factory. I'm in Texas where the heat is most certainly a need for a generator. The AC can't run for very long on my big battery and solar. If you are in a milder climate, you could certainly do without the generator.

I wasn’t interested in any other model- the unity or wonder. When that happened I went out and spent $182000 for the 2022 Classic Airstream and $79,000 for a Chevy 2500 diesel truck. I have the money to purchase and since I can’t take it with me, I wanted the best.
