Check out the shade "Ritz" in the supershock shadows. Moriah Leonard turned me on to it, it's the most beautiful wet shimmer eye topper. Not a lot of base pigment in this one either. They call it a sheer nude with silver glitter.

I love the declutter videos and I have a recommendation! I also frequently have to declutter, to the point that my family has told me they no longer want makeup from me, lol! I heard that women’s shelters take lightly used makeup. It’s helpful for women going on job interviews. We all know how much makeup can cost, even a full face of makeup from the drugstore can be too expensive for some. From now on, I plan to donate all my declutter. Wanted to share this with you in case your friends and family get to the point they no longer want your declutter items!

I just started my teaching job and wake up at 5 am everyday. I absolutely love makeup and feel better when I take a few minutes every morning to get ready but I really only have about 10 minutes to get my brows and eyes done every morning my mascara and brows have always taken the most time to complete in my makeup routine and cream eyeshadows have been so so helpful in a speedy morning routine. Especially because some are so good they cut out the need for an eyeshadow primer like the nude sticks shadows and I have really oily eyelids. And as a bonus there's never any fall out to clean up. Thank you so much for your recommendations I'm definitely going to be picking up some shades to add to my arsenal

i bought the nudestix after watching this months ago and my boyfriend bought one of the roen palettes for me when it was on sale as a surprise. he told me eventually but idk which one, i have to wait until valentine's day 🙈 you've launched my cream shadow obsession! i refuse to overbuy, but i now have a scattered light shadow, a full matte nudestix shadow, a mini sparkly nudestix shadow, two skywashes, and the roen palette...i think i'm good lol

I know I'm late to the game (but am on a current binge of your back catalog!) and highly recommend the Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid Lusters! They're VERY similar to the Bodyography/Hourglass potted shimmers. I also LOVE Hourglass' Smoke Scattered Light and Reflect -- The VBB shades of Honey and Tea Rose have a home in my small collection!

I was just going to say, I use the fenty diamond bombs (both of which I intentionally acquired in sets with gloss) as shadows. I think they are so pretty, they last well on the lid and the minis are an excellent size for someone who still wears a lot of pressed powder shadows. I think Viseart shimmers are my current favorite one and done pressed shadows because they are so soft and have such glide, but usually it's Natasha whose palettes I treat like a giant collection of single eye looks most of the time.

If you want to make something a lil creamier (as you mentioned w/ the PUR eye polish) try adding a little bit of eye drops or saline solution. I heard of this "hack" for everything under the sun and yea yea I honestly didn't think it'd word but I was able to revive COMPLETELY dried out Stila Glitter & Glow and Shimmer & Glows and an UD glitter liner w/ it. I would imagine it would work w/ many other formulas too. Alternatively if it becomes too watery (which was my fault I should've stopped before I did) I was able to mix in some NYX Glitter Glue and that did the trick. Granted you will need to actually remove any stoppers to actually stir the product as shaking proved insufficient. For cream shadows and occasionally Colourpop SS's that have gone not yet dried but a little less creamy I've found that just stirring w/ a metal spatula helps tremendously in restoring the formula. I think this is because the moisture sinks to the bottom of the product. I literally have done this w/ a few pots 2-3x each over a few years and it worked like a charm. As a last ditch effort I've also added a minute amount of jojoba oil (as it has extremely long shelf life) and I found it works best w/ formulas that set down so the oil doesn't too drastically effect wear/creaseing.

One more thing...if you like the look of CP sailor but the blue microshimmers are a con, try Frog...same exact thing but w/ a pink microshimmer I find works better as I prefer warm toned looks/crease shades.

I tried the AOA cream shadow and while it was pretty, the sealed product had oil leaking from it and the shadow completely broke down on my lids. So word to the wise, it's a no-go for oily eyelids

I don‘t use eyeshadow anymore but I do still own the Mac paint pots in painterly and groundwork because the colours are really natural and I always think “one day I will need them for a look“. Maybe I should finally give them away before they dry out.

I was so surprised that I didn't see any of the same cream eye shadows I own, not even the same brands! I have Chanel ombre premiere ("804 scintillance", satin nude), Chanel Stylo ombre et contour eyeshadow liner ("nude eclat", satin nude pen), Giorgio Armani Eyes to kill stellar ("5", sparkly rose gold). I have a few from Clarins too, but they dry out too quickly. I enjoy using one matte skin colored to hide veins from above the lid and then use that Chanel 804 for an every day look on the lid. We have so limited brands available in my country that I can't even have access to colourpop, covergirl and all those reasonably prised options😕 I'm pretty sure Jamie Paige referred Hourglass as "the adult glitter" and Jessica Braun has a favorite from Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to mesmerize (Marie Antoinette) for an easy blended one shadow evening look... I love how easy cream shadows are. I should have skipped buying eyeshadow palettes and moved straight to cream shadows when I first started watching makeup youtube videos a few years ago!😬

I love cream eyeshadows but I find that they dry out very fast and get unusable. I use the living lumunizer by rms beauty which is a great product that I use to top matte eyeshadows. It's like a clear skin gloss which means I get creamy lids with powder eyeshadows ( better shelf life) I am jealous of your collection though.

@@AmandaZ Yup, I'd say they're most similar to hourglass. I'd recommend bronzed taupe and amber rush. Eternal sunshine is pretty too but if you want a lighter champagne color. Also, made a typo. It's not the metallics that I was talking about (I don't know how those perform). I meant the 24 hr chrome shadows.

Have you thought about it’s not powder formula it’s your lids not well prepared for them? I immediately thought of your eye cream isn’t moisturizing enough and / or you didn’t use a eye primer like the UD one which really helps smoothing and grabbing eyeshadows especially powder.

I make sure to take care of my dry lids/undereyes but in general I think I am picky with textures on my skin. Someone might look at my eyeshadow and think- oh that looks great! But I think it will look dry...

I know this is an old video but I just wanted to say: I never thought I'd splurge on the Tom Ford Platinum, but woooow it's an absolutely beautiful formula and color. I finally picked it up during the latest Sephora sale and I'm in love 😭

I’ve found that using a good primer really helps the creamy products from creasing. I use Urban Decay Primer Potion. I also love cream shadows and liners and have been looking for some new ones. So thank you so much for this video! I absolutely adore the Bobbi Brown gel liner pots and the NYX crayon eyeshadow pencils. I use the liners for a more polished look, but for a quick eye I tend to use the dark NYX crayons to get a smokey, smudgy look. I also love how powder and creams can work together. Powder eyeshadow on top can make creams bulletproof. I love budget friendly products, but you do have to be careful about them. Some can contain heavy metals and contaminates because they're cheaper. In the US beauty products are tested and regulated by the FDA. Which is why I'm OK about using ELF and Wet N Wild. Unfortunately other countries don't have these same regulations, so be careful. I see a lot of inexpensive eyeshadows made in China. The pigments in cosmetics are supposed to be safe for eyes and skin. To make a bigger profit some shady companies use cheap pigments not meant for cosmetics. I recently got some scented nail polish remover pads off Amazon that looked legit. They didn't smell anything like they were supposed to. It was some sort of very harsh chemical. I'm happy I knew to check if it was legit before I rubbed it on my nails. It was counterfeit. Counterfeits can look very similar to the genuine products but have who knows what in them. Women have had chemical burns and damage to their eyes from using counterfeit products. If the product seems to be too good a deal, buyer beware. There are some good deals out there, but there's a lot of fakes as well.

Amanda, I really need a 'how to do cream eyeshadow' video... and I don't just mean 'this is how you apply it, and this is how you blend it'. I mean I'm new to makeup and need every excruciating detail from how much to put on, to where on the eye to immediately place it, to whether to apply with a brush or a finger, to how to blend it, to about how much time is generally spent blending... and more. I know I might be the only person who could use this video, but if you think there are other extreme noobs out there, I'd really appreciate a tutorial. It's pretty difficult to find resources for newbies, and I haven't found one for cream eyeshadow yet.
