If I remember correctly, there were two ways to perform acid pool finish in ms-dos version. One was where you hold down lp and lk, then do the uppercut, the classic one. However, the devs figured that, when playing on a keyboard, such input would, more often than not, be very impractical since holding two keys tends to prevent you from using the other buttons. And, since having a pc gamepad back in the day wasn't so common, they went an extra mile to improve the overall gameplay experience and implemented yet another way to do this fatality: next to the opponent, do 3xforward, then regular uppercut. :)

Sucks the cd version did not added the arcade soundtracks like cd dos version of mk1. This port is much better than all of the home ports of mk2. The music is our of place. Probe love to messed things up.

Mk2 Turbo! I like this version of the game. Better than any home version of its time. Only thing lacking was the music. Also the cpu isn’t as cheap as all other versions, notice how he sweeps the cpu continuously, in other versions the cpu would throw you.

I think you are using the main MIDI sound card. If you change it to Sound Blaster AWE32.. it should sound like the arcade.

@@heilong79 Well, you have to look at it with 1993 standards / eyes. I was 11 back then and we played MK1-2 non stop at the arcades.... having THIS at home during that time was unbelievable. Even Ed Boon said this was the best home port. Obviously they could have done a better job with the sounds and music - but it is what it is, (MK3 for example was perfect on DOS) I still have 2 boxed copies of it (disk and CD version) Ofcourse if you look at it from today's perspective its a totally different animal.

Pretty sad the Sega Saturn and Playstation Versions look way better. I thought PC gaming was supposed to be superior to consoles😂😂😂 This version looks slightly better than Sega 32X and what the 32X should have been graphics wise. This PC version does get a lot of the background details that the 32X was still missing. But even the 32X has it beat with resolution and sound. This is why console gaming will forever be superior to PC gaming 😂😂😂😂
