On an open plain in South Luangwa National Park in Zambia, we came across this spectacular sight… a HUGE flock of Red-billed Queleas! There were so many birds, moving in what looked like waves across the open plains.
Some bird books refer to it as a “roller feeding” movement.
These queleas can roost, feed or breed in flocks up to millions of individuals.
