I heard that birds dont perceive time the sane way as us because their heart beats so fast. So when they fly in formation to them it's like walking ... they just follow the leader like humans in a big group.
@emmsue10536 ай бұрын
@@theeggtimertictic1136 That's a great theory, also they fly by the rule of seven, each one pays attention to those at all points immediately around them. It means that no bird crowds the next. How they all turn and take off together is fascinating! Almost psychic.

The general consensus by scientists who study birds used to be that the birds followed a skilled leader who they followed in synch with his/her every move. However, I read an article published online that reported scientist watching the birds closely through special lenses and in recorded playback they discovered something more amazing than the leader of the flock theory. Apparently, birds are entirely democratic. They somehow vote very quickly about what turns or new directions to take. In their observations of the birds and bird in the flock can make a "suggestion" by turning slightly in a new direction, the birds nearest to him will in a split second "vote" to follow him for that one decision and down the line the voting goes as each bird elects to follow the new lead. Sometimes the bird who makes a suggestion to the others will be voted down and another suggester will be followed. There is no set leader, it would seem in their democracy anyone can be the president if only for a tiny moment in time. Perhaps they know something we don't?

wow the sound of the wings!!!! Awesome!! I've often seen videos of starling murmations but they're usually put to music and so you don't get to hear the wings and I feel hearing the wings is such an important part of it. I would love to hear the whooshing of their wings overhead and you've got it here. It sounds amazing!

THAT is the power of the Holy Spirit, you can find it everywhere even the sea. Watch other videos of murmurs and in the air you will see them take the shape of sea creatures. Yes, God has the power to link birds' minds to the creatures of the sea. The closer we get to God, the more of his Glory we will experience.

Me and my friends would take our birds (we did falconry) and let our birds get some. I had I northern goshawk, someone had a grey falcon, and the other one had an american kesteral. There were a few wild predatory birds. It was a free for all so no one fought over them. We were having a contest to see which bird brought back more birds at the end of the day and mine won with 32 kills. Second place was 28 for the falcon. and 23 for the kesteral.

This is a tragedy for song birds and farmers fields of grain every time these large flocks land . These are an invasive species.
@lknanml2 жыл бұрын
@@elizabethklein7073 They sure are. Back in 1989 California got it by some bioterrorism in the form of a medfly attack. An outfit on my base took off daily to airdrop sterilized medflies all over the area to reduce their mating chances.
@SheenaRea Жыл бұрын
@@elizabethklein7073 I wonder why they were created then. Why are they part of the planet and capable of so much brilliance and beauty? Is Mother Nature flawed then? I have starlings and so many songbirds. My yard is overrun with cardinals, woodpeckers, robins, etc. and it is wonderful. The starlings come along and feed at separate feeders. If they are invasive, why were they created and where do they belong --> Europe? Some areas of Europe consider them now an endangered species.
@elizabethklein7073 Жыл бұрын
@@SheenaRea Mother nature is full of flaws... I am not denying that they are beautiful; they are probably more intelligent than many beautiful song birds and this why they can fly this way. Many exquisite songbirds such as bluebirds, purple martins and others have suffered because of them and the house sparrow.
