This really brings to an understanding, when it's said the mustang came from the falcon. Those cars look like both cars melded together. Others look like a Chevelle or Nova mixed with a Torino or mustang. Great showing.

I've taken a greater appreciation for Holdens now. It's very sad that the Falcon & Commodore are gone. I think the VE was the best Commodore ever produced. Holden made a massive mistake labeling the ZB a Commodore. I don't like the Mustang as it is not a Falcon! It's not Aussie born & bred. But each to their own.

Tony and Paul’s cars are second to none. I worked at a shop that restore them. I personally helped restore his orange car he had when he was a kid and the white sunroof Xy gtho phase 3 automatic that was next too it.

Wow, so very cool. I love that body style of the 70-71 Fairlane/ Cyclone with what the Aussies did with the front end. Uniquely there own. Its kinda sad that when auto's where young the countries of the world couldn't all have agreed to driving on the same side. Great collection from a seemingly great guy. Australia, bad ass Crocks, most poisoness snakes, great white sharks, big ass Roo's, some bad ass cars and really good people. Salute from the States. ✌️

The XC Cobra had 400 produced not 300 as he said. The 1st 30 issued were a Bathurst Option 97 issue . The remaining numbers were for R.P.O regular production option Option 96.

best thing i know when on parts market or just out to buy/see old machines, is the stories. almost all these old ones got a story to tell. its super cool when the guy having the item actually know its history. i love old stuff. it got shapes and a soul unlike modern boxy designs. personally i think they easily could do a rerun of the cool oldschool models and sell super well. only they should be way lighter and with modern driveline in small engine sizes too. im thinking for the market in europe . taxing here is based on engine size/hp/weight /emission. countries like denmark got a 180% tax on cars and a whoppin 300% on sports and special cars. if they could enter the category "regular car" then it would be a financial gamechanger and really take europe with storm. it should be pretty easy to do nowadays. stancing out the parts and with sound designers for exhausts and what not. i really hate the current style where everything need to be boxy like a ups truck and size of a mini.

They do look good. The 1978 XC Falcon Cobra was a marketing idea from Ford Edsel II, who was in Aus learning the business. It was to get rid of 400 coupe body shells before a new body shape came out. All of the cars were already painted dark blue. If a genuine one gets a stone chip on the white you can see blue underneath. Unfortunately heavy emission laws had just come into force, the 351 Cleveland option (biggest engine available) was choked down to 163kw / 217 hp, so it was a looks package only.
