This may just be our favorite event of the year and it keeps getting better and better! This year we had more cars launch off the cliff than ever before! So many people brought out some unique stuff and traveling from as far at Atlanta! The carnage was absolutely insane and this year we saw a car launch further than we ever have before. Absolute chaos and the thousands and thousands of spectators had the time of their lives! We are huge fans of the Glacier View 4th of July Car Launch and will absolutely be returning.

@1320video Found out later what happened, our car was not supposed to go when it did, they were planning on launching a car from the other ramp (the car belonging to him) so they were in position waiting for it to be launched off the far ramp when they sent our car from the ramp above their position. Very scary, you really have to be on your toes up there.

A couple years ago, I watched one with my elderly mother, who had some problems seeing, and told her that there were actual drivers in the cars, and the object was to see who could fly the farthest, and possibly even land in the pond. Got to go to this with my brother, last year. He goes every year, like the highlight of his summer, I think. The culmination of a long summer camping trip, anyway. It was a lot of fun! Tons of food booths and other booths. Like a mini carnival. Definitely something I would recommend, but be forewarned: The camping grounds are at the top of the cliff, basically, and it is a long march down and then back up from the flats where you watch the show from. Car rides up or down will take forever due to all of the people and vehicles. Walking is generally faster, but it will be a workout packing up whatever you brought down for the show because the hill is pretty steep and is like a mile long. When I did it, it was like 80 degrees and sunny.🥵

I knew damn well at the very least the loadmaster would be sitting on the ramp watching the cars go off, the fact he filmed it too and then shared the footage with you guys is FRIGGIN AWESOME!! What an epic view from the back, as well as epic shot of the C130 flying by as the bus went off the ramp!! HELL YEAH!!! Man just the sound of that beauty flying overheard brings a tear to my eye - I so deeply miss the gorgeous deep rumble of C130s flying overhead. Used to have them fly over our house like clockwork every day when I was growing up, since I live in a town not far from a major UK base for them. I hate that they retired the old girl and replaced her with the Globemaster - it's just not the same and they don't fly out that base either so they don't fly over my town any way. Seriously, this is your best video yet!!! So thank you for sharing it with us!!!

Erosion control. We’ve got a river in SC where the entire bank is cars n mud. Can only see it when the water is low. And this was done in the 40-50s era. It’s nothing new to stop a river from eroding the bank across one’s property.
