The fact that you can get recliners instead of the dinette, an actual place for a trash can, a rectangular shower, a full on queen sized bed with a large and nicely laid out kitchen with an oven and full travel accessibility. I like the headboard pad on the bed and the wet bay area. Just a really great setup here. Then, the weight of this thing, you hardly even went over that Josh!!! along with the 62 gallons of fresh water!!! .. If they would have just put some doors on the cabinet in the bathroom!

Still loving it. This is the first 200MK i have actually seen with the dinette. Ours have the theater seat recliners in it and GD includes a monster table with that option. I was actually shocked by how heavy duty the table is. I am glad to see they have put USB ports on both sides of the bed, ours only have them on one side. Also they have changed the kitchen sink to a double instead of the big farm sink. A quick fix to that curtain that is near the slide is to put a curtain hold back on the wall. The water heater is located under the counter beside the fridge so you certainly test your flexibility when you go to change the bypass valves to winterize. But the water pump is behind the camp side wall in the front storage compartment. And another little nicety is that they included a valve and hose at the water pump to pull your anti-freeze through your water system. Like you said there are a lot of things on this model that you would not expect, like a porcelain toilet. We are extremely happy with our 200MK. Even happier we bought it last summer before the price went up again and again and again... Thanks for this one Josh.

I LOVE this layout with the theater seats option. Every time I see it. Just LOVE. I would definitely get larger vent fans. My husband and I walked through one and he is 6'5" and fit with tennis shoes on. The A/C is slim to the ceiling so he just skimmed under it. He fit in the shower while standing in the skylight, which isn't always true in a 6'6" camper. The steps were a little sketch for someone my husband's size. We would either have to immediately upgrade those or get one of those sav a step things and see how it went.

I own a 2021 200MK. We have the Theatre seating instead of the dinette. Its a very comfortable trailer. And I can vouch for the 'elephant enema' issue! LOL. We really like the 12v fridge and all the counter space. And, just like Josh says, that cabinet at the far end beside the fridge is tough for those shorter folks (my wife is 4'10"). Our only real gripe with the unit is that its hitch weight is quite heavy. With just propane, 1 battery and a few leveling blocks and sewer hose in the front pass thru, our tongue weight is almost exactly 650lbs. And with a truck that only has 1200lb payload, that is quite limiting and the reason why we are selling our 200MK after only one season and less than 1k miles. I'd say though, if you properly match your tow vehicle, you really can't go wrong with the 200MK. It really is an excellent trailer. Edit...Want to add that out 2021 has a porcelain toilet. The 2022 in your review looked like it might have been plastic?

Josh: At 11:11 you caution against using the dinette slide when it’s not deployed because of a “floor flush rack and pinion system. Two questions, 1) are there different slide systems which would allow the use of the dinette at a truck or rest area stop? 2) could small blocks or wedges be put into place to provide the necessary support so the slide could be used? Respectfully, W.S.

Thanks Josh, When I was watching your video you mentioned the solar could be expanded if you wanted to. I thought that is what it would be extended to. Sorry for the confusion, this is all new to me. So if we want to use the outlets sounds like we need a generator. Thanks Mike
@JoshtheRVNerd Жыл бұрын
No worries. Feel free to ask plenty of questions. I get a lot of comments but do my best to get to them all So for clarity solar does nothing but charge the battery. That's is. More solar just means more charging. Batteries provide 12v power for things like lights, fans, slides. Think of it like "little power" Things like microwaves, A/C units, and household outlets require household "big power" You *CAN* power those "big power" devices with just battery "little power," but to do so you need an inverter. Inverter will pull harder off that battery to provide big power from little power. But.. as you can imagine it will drain your battery supply far, far more quickly. Inverters are often packaged along with larger solar packages but in point of fact inverters and solar stuff are two separate things

In this class the only brands I have seen standardizing Goodyears are Jay flight and della Terra Did you ever have problems with the original tires??
@sny11682 жыл бұрын
@@JoshtheRVNerd No did not have a problem. But the tires had probably 700 miles on them when I replaced them. Did not like the sidewall roll over the Westlakes had when making turns. The Endurance sidewalls are much much stiffer and resist the rollover. I also prefer the Endurance tread design. I believe the Endurance will be less likely to hydoplane and more likely to resist road heat. There is a reason for the 75 mph rating of the Westlake and the 87 mph of the Endurance. See a lot more complaints on KZbin about Westlake tire failure than Endurance. The few hundred dollars to replace the tires might save me thousands in repairs. Josh please read this whole comment!! I would really love for you to comment on my idea❤️❤️❤️ I was gonna say Murphy bed. But as I was typing it you said it hahaha! I’ve been binge watching your channel for months now researching my “first ever, second RV” haha I think in small floor plans regardless of layout I would want a Murphy bed 100% of the time personally. I would love a laminated trailer with a Murphy bed in the back of the rv specifically, then a dinette, and a sofa bed combo thing. Hear me out on this. Since the shorter length I’d want this in, (20ft max tip to tail) putting the bed in the back and the kitchen in the front would keep the kitchen from rattling around since it would be up front. Then having a dinette, Murphy bed in the back, and a sofa/bed combo unit. You would hav tons of day to day siting space. Then you hav a spot for the kids to sleep and the parents at night. But the biggest benefit to this idea is since you don’t have bunks taking up space your kids wouldn’t technically out grow it. Thus giving the RV a much longer life time for parents with two kids!!! I’ve never seen a floor plan like I’m describing even after the hundreds of videos I’ve watched. To me this would be the perfect layout for a 4 person family camper. Maybe a 7.5ft wide 16-19ft interior length. But preferably a max length of like 20-22ft. I’d even be ok with a small mini slide or something to make this work but I think it would work without and I’d prefer no slide personally!!! Even if it has some sacrifices to obtain I’d still buy this layout. Hell take the camp kitchen option out and give me this layout I described haha! I personally would give up a camp kitchen first for interior options. To me a camp kitchen is one of the lowest priorities in a rv. Wouldn’t care if it had one at all. I pray you read this and let me know what you think!!! I personally think what I described is my 100%perfect rv and I can’t imagine it would only be perfect for me!!
@mattdagger14802 жыл бұрын
I think this makes total sense ( from myself an rv idiot haha!) cause you get bunks and it’s perfect for a few years until the kids get older and are cramped In the bunks. Then when they grow up more and don’t wanna camp or leave you have all this space taken up by bunks you aren’t using anymore. Would love to hear your thoughts on this idea. To a person like me who’s Admittedly pretty ignorant in RV stuff I really love his idea

@@mattdagger1480 There's a trend I've really seen: What was old is new again Whether that's fashion trends, repurposed technology, or RV floor plans. It all comes back around. Look at all the "Reboots" and whatnot for previously popular shows.

I like the counter space curves in the kitchen and bathroom. It adds a nice aesthetic. The kitchen storage is fantastic. Since I saw your first Ember video last summer/fall timeframe, I've started gravitating away from Geo Pro to Ember, but I enjoy cooking; is there an Ember with a comparable kitchen? I'd rather have the theater seating with the removable table than the U-dinette featured. If you went with that option, would you lose the under-seat storage compartments you have with this dinette? The square shower is nice because it gives you that little bit of extra elbow room. I love the "drunken octopus fight club" line. I've never thought about coathangers that way, and will see if I can use it in conversation when I go back to work next week (my coworkers already think I'm weird; why not dial it to 11?).

Hiddy Ho, Josh! Love this entry-level ca Per from GD. Isn't that "tv" mount on the outside actually a flag pole mount???

yeah I've corrected that in future videos. It's actually a multi-purpose mount. There are TV brackets for it. My brain just wasn't connecting the dots.

May have an answer for the light location in the bedroom. There is just a curtain. Put the lights in a more standard location.You are putting on a show, because you have a backlight situation. Where the lights are, little or no backlight.

Apologies perhaps I'm not understanding clearly enough. Travel Trailers typically have either reclining theater seats or folding sleeper sofas. Almost none have both currently (at least none that I've seen in the mainstream market) Could you clarify what you're seeking perhaps or give me a reference to something that has the kind of seating you're seeking?

Gravity friendly? Vertically challenged. This floor plan nails everything that I would be looking for in a trailer. It has everything except a garden spot to grow a few tomatoes and such. The only thing is that it is about 1,000 pounds heavier than I would feel comfortable towing with a half-ton truck, especially here in Utah's mountains. But if you want these features, that's something that I would have to live with.
