I'm so happy for you that you got a home that you can call your own, and thank you for all that you do to bring awareness to the industry, I've seen it myself in the music industry, but I can only imagine the struggles that child actors have been subjected to through the years, you have shed a whole new light on things for a lot of people... As a life long dancer living with chronic illness/pain is so difficult to describe the feeling of loss when your body no longer moves the way it used to. That first clip made me cry. ! I think I know that exact feeling. I still live in a stressful way on the haunt for a home and when that day comes I think I too will cry my eyes out. The feeling of constantly feeling unsafe at home and moving around it makes you feel so sick. Happy for you!!

A comment about wellness: I just started on this same journey, last summer, during quarantine. I didn't even mean to. I just had a back injury, too, so I started yoga to help with stretching out my back muscles. Then, it led to getting a surge of energy, as I was doing the yoga. This all led to more questions of "What the heck just happened to me? What did I just feel inside of my body? That was weird as he**! What does it mean?" I asked all of these questions to a cousin of mine, that dabbles in energy healing, and her answers sent me on a year long quest into wellness/energy/healing. I am still learning, but I love the attention that I am giving to myself. Much needed attention. Thank you for your content. I will be checking it all out! More blessings to you, Alyson, because it seems like you are already on your way to receiving some of those!!...my mood is rainbow, because I am in transition in my life, too, so I am feeling a plethora of emotions!

It's one of the best feelings! My first (official because my travel trailer doesn't exactly count) home I own outright. I bought and paid it off within a year. I hope to own land and additional homes too so I can homestead, be a landlady and have somewhat passive income, and maybe even have a vacation home.

Same boat. Finally got my own place. Had to move every year since 2009 sometimes more than once because of school and work and life. People who move a lot know how annoying it is to constantly have to update your address, never able to fully make a place your own because you know you'll move. #stablelife #forever home

Books that changed my life: Untamed by Glennon Doyle. SUCH an incredible audible read and honestly it helped me accept myself. I also paired it with reading Self Compassion by Kristen Neff. I'm going through Kristen Neff's Mindful Self Compassion book in therapy currently. Also CONGRATULATIONS on your house! You deserve permanence

I wish your book was available in audio book form. I have adhd and struggle to sit down and finish a book but listing helps bc I have the ability to multitask. Also accesability for blind people is always good. I get that it probably isn't super simple to turn a book into an audio book but when you have the time I think it would be nice to look into. Anyways, than you for being the amount of vulnerable you are. I see you as someone who is constantly working on bettering yourself and helping others to do the same and I have so much respect for you.

Bought a house with my bf this year, as a 21 year old women and have a property of 600 m2 it is a lot in the Netherlands we went a little over budget but afterwards soo worth it!!! Hope you have as much joy in your new home as we do! You deserve it!!!

I was just saying last week that 2021 marks the first time in over 7 years (and honestly, if I'm including moving into 3 different apt style dorm rooms during undergrad its over 10yrs) where I haven't moved at least once a year. It is so nice. I plan to get a home soon, but by the time my fiancé (husband by then) and I will be ready to buy, I'll have been living at the same place for 3/4 years. It really is nice.

Hey I know it’s a lot of money and stress. But I’m renting right now for 1 1/2 what it would cost for a mortgage. The place is busted my neighbors are clueless to respect and my prop. Manager comes IN TO my house every year … just to look around. I stay away from windows on New Years and 4th because of bullets falling from the sky, the carpet turned my socks black from day one, it took me 8 hours to clean on move in, filthy! It’s not even mine. All that time and money thrown away on someone else’s investment . I’d kill to own a house at this time , even if everything is breaking. You can get a lot fixed for cheap from KZbin , friends, and family. I’d kill to be in your place. I know it’s hard but try to send gratitude out into the universe and to god and they will echo their gratitude back to you.

One book that changed my life at a young age was the Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. A high school professor recommended it to us during a lecture and at the time it was very difficult to deal with my depression, ed, and anxiety since I didn't have a good support system, healthy mechanisms or felt comfortable at home so I relied on books, journaling and music most of the time. I remember even my psychiatrist at the time noticed a change in my attitude, I even suggested she shares it with her patients. I can't wait to one day be in her chair helping others. My mood/aura is usually like the inside of an iridescent shell, that shifts from blue to purple, and it hasn't been fully black in a good while. Studying psychology and learning to be alone played a big role in that. I'm so proud to see what you are doing because it is crucial to bring awareness. I hope life treats you kindly; know that I'm sending you love every day.
