I saw this storm from 4,000ft in a Cessna plane from Cotswold Airport it was an amazing view 😍. I even saw a piece of sheet lightning as we were descending

Just stumbled across your channel. Absolutely brilliant. I share your excitement. Here in south Devon, we haven't had any storms this year; usually we get some absolutely insane storms drifting over from N France. Anyway, keep up the great work. 🔥

Good video, enjoyed it. Unfortunately we don't get many thunderstorms here where I live in Redditch Worcestershire, we are in a dip and any storms that do come up seem to skirt round us. The last decent storm I videod here was 2 years ago now a nighttime storm got some quite decent lightning footage. Some if the lightning you filmed here was really good , particularly the fork lightning. However that person who was using an umbrella was putting themselves at risk particularly if the umbrella had got metal in it.

Thank you for sharing! We don't see much storm action in our part of England. The Pennines kill any hope 😂

Love hearing the sound of your excitement with lightning discharges, i think it's a trait all stormchasers have along with hoping from one foot to the other. Keep up the good work but always keep in mind, if you're getting wet, you're putting yourself at an increased risk of being struck.

Nice. 👍 Unfortunately in my area of the country, we’ve had next to no thunderstorms all year except for a brief early morning thunderstorm back in May.

Not this particular storm but I remember in my early years I’m 75 now visiting my grandmother when it got so dark it was like nighttime, then the lightning began followed by the thunder and as it wasn’t long after the war my aunt and grandmother were terrified and hid under the stairs being so young I couldn’t understand why as it was only weather and we kids used to sit at our window at home hoping to catch the forked lightning or sheet lightning appearing, the innocence of being a child 😊

What a fun storm chase. This must be quite rare in England. The sky looks like skies I see while chasing lightning storms here in Kansas USA.

Why does your camera shake every time it rumbles? It’s like it felt an earthquake.
@theukstormchaserАй бұрын
it’s very likely the vibration from the thunder

On Friday the thunderstorm was so boring and only what we could hear is low volume bangs then like 2 or 3 thunders happen what kind of thunder is that I’m expecting for it to happen in October agian

You don’t have to chase the storms they come to you, also you can’t chase any as we have traffic jams and speed restrictions and 95% of England is private land

People really get so excited by a few rumbles of thunder nowadays, you wasn't born in the 90s were you cg lightning was common place, and you call this a storm smh, never experienced a storm with continious lightning that lasted 4-5 hours in the uk yet? there were quite a few of these back in the 90s when I was teen, storms have change in the past 20 years or so we get much less, and not as intense we get way to much low clouds and more wind with storm formations then we did, we get too many low to mid elevated storm, a high elevated storms are much rarer nowadays. Southern and Central England was a storm machine back then you could guarentee a good storm every few days plus more widespread.
