Huge Lufthansa News

After a three-year hiatus, Lufthansa has officially returned the world's largest passenger plane, the Airbus A380, to commercial operations. The airline grounded the type during the height of the pandemic and, at one point, confirmed it wouldn't return. That changed, and the aircraft will be deployed worldwide by year's end.

I live and work in Boston and it as kind of an event - it came in just after 5pm and my office has a nice view of the approach into 22L and 22R. I even got a few of my colleagues into looking for it as the day had just ended and we had an all hands meeting that was basically the whole day, but now they always ask me if the big German plane was coming in again haha

The a380 had to come back and will stay in service for years to come. Aviation fuel has dropped dramatically and with airport slots at a premium it was clear there is a demand for this aircraft.

Im planning on taking the Lufthansa A380 from Boston to Munich in August. Really looking forward to it, even if my non-avgeek peers have no clue why

Glad to hear about A380. I still say the 747 will make some type come back. Anytime an event-slow down occurs, when things come back afterward they are multiple times demand increased.

While Boeing has some stunning planes like the 787-9, 747-8i, 767-300ER and 707-320, I still think Airbus makes better looking aircraft. A380, A350-900, A340-600, and A320neo, I all find beautiful.

Lufthansa has cut the A380 from the list of aircraft that are due to be replaced by delayed aircraft. Official list, available for everyone worldwide. Why just why do you keep spreading wrong information? The A380 has never been a gap filler, only officially. By now, it´s not even a gap filler officially anymore. What more do you want to finally accept the situation around the Lufthansa A380 fleet? That´s hillarious.
