@@creeksforweeks5690 Cool to see you come up here and get to experience the pinnacle of bank fishing the allegheny haha. If you're ever around here again, jerkbaits and crankbaits are your best friend. There are massive striped bass that ambush fish that get caught in the strong currents right below the locks!

You can wade across that first channel below the old submerged barge. That barge has been there before I was born.

Great video! Advice, don’t reel when she’s taking drag. Hold higher in the Gill plate where it meets tip of jaw. Your fingers should slide up into there. Will feel like a natural hand hold. That fish was around 38”. As they hit 40” they get a beefier head and jaw, less pointy in the snout. Excellent quick release. Props for not keeping her out of the water longer. You even forwent the picture to return her. Tip my hat to you for that. Typically you want to hold them by the tail in the water until they start to try and upright themselves indicating they are ready to go. To the people in the comments that are blowing up the spot, try not to do that please. Stout outing and beautiful fish and to boot, great content. Thank you !

Thank you for the advice. At the time, that was easily the biggest fish I had ever caught. In the future I'll bring the proper gear to land them and hold them correctly. I had no idea I would ever see one on the end of my line. I hope you enjoy the rest of the videos!

surprised you didn’t get any walleye. i fish a dam on the ohio river that looks identical to that and usually a lot of walleye will sit in those eddies or along the bank.

@@CREEKFISHING423 You probably know this, but I would recommend fishing spillways and low head dams that are in musky waters. This is probably the easiest way to find them. You can go for bass and potentially catch a musky on a rod meant for them. I saw you're from East Tennessee so I'm guessing there have to be musky spots nearby.
