Yeah, that's pretty much true. The majority of people on the left wing spectrum actually support various 3rd party political groups. But our government is built so that it's virtually impossible for a non Democrat or Republican to win anything as far as government offices go. Theoretically if enough people decided to vote 3rd party it could happen, but since it's so small a shot, it feels more like throwing your vote away. So most people vote for the Republican or Democrat that they think will do the least damage, to prevent the vote default going to the person they hate the most. Honestly feels pretty grim when you zoom out and think about it, but I guess all you can do is keep trying to help along little changes where you can.

I think the rainbow beer can is a great example of how this cartoon wasn't made for "both sides." Why? Because I talk to leftist people and they hate corporate rainbows, comparing it to evil companies in media like Umbrella having rainbows in their logos. If this was actually meant for both sides, than they would both hate it for different reasons. If it was meant to refer to Bud Light having a trans woman be in their marketing, than a better joke would have been to have the daughter mention that the woman on the can was trans and watch him react to it like he was told it was poisoned.
