My grandma was pregnant at 14. My mom had my oldest sister at 16. My oldest sister and my little sister were pregnant at 15, had their boys at 16. I'm the first in 3 generations on my maternal side to not be a teen parent. They all said as much as they love their kids, they would have waited if they knew then what they do now. It's much more common than many people think, and for whatever reason if you're born to a teen parent, you're more likely to become one. I hope my daughter continues the cycle of breaking cycles

Im aussie, the number of times people fat called me when I was 125kgs (about 300lbs) was unbelievable. I got told at food vendors, "How about you stop putting food in your mouth?" and stuff like that. It was so heartbreaking. Now that im 60kgs lighter, skinny, and confident, i do get cat called and sexualized constantly. It's a losing battle for women 😭

29:09 I've been heavy my entire life...and I cannot tell you how many times I have been bullied like this. One year in college, I was pushed into a wet bush and called a fat "c** dumpster". I've had women come up to me and ask if I should be eating the thing I'm enjoying. I've had trash thrown at me, and people comment loudly that I shouldn't be eating at a fast food establishment. It was so bad in my past that to this day, I still don't eat out at fast food, pizza, or anything that can be viewed as "unhealthy". I order to go every time. I can't take being bullied about it anymore, so I stay home and eat in private. So, I'm glad you hang out with awesome people who don't do that - and that none of your friends or loved ones haven't had the experience. That's awesome. However, I assure you -- there are trash people like this who do this for the lulz.

I haven’t looked at my bank account in 6 months. Some people don’t want to look because they don’t have enough money and don’t want to see it, some people just don’t care to check. I like to go long periods of time without looking to see progress. Rarely do I actually check the statement, just the balances. I could easily be paying for services I don’t remember signing up for. I’m also not really worried about it though. I’m also an idiot.

Ppl with avoidance problems, ppl w anxiety especially financial related anxiety, ppl who struggle with financial irresponsibility (my mom used to be negative in 1 accnt by $500 every month despite making over 200k, just cause she wldnt transfer the money- I handle her money & accnts now), ppl with learning disabilities, ppl with PTSD, ppl with panic attacks, ppl with depression. I worked in finance accounting before I switched careers. For many ppl who struggle, things like handling money, paying bills, and balancing a bank account are part of self-care. For them, it is the same as struggling to clean their home, feed themselves properly, maintain a healthy lifestyle, or keep themselves groomed. Depression, mental illness, and life circumstances can make it feel nearly impossible to do these things. Judgment is the worst way to help someone struggling. Education and compassion together are the most effective ways. Once a person knows coping mechanisms and how finances and banks work, they gain more confidence. Struggling is human.
