Hello Electronoobs I was very surprised to hear you want to use it for an automated escape room! That is actually one of my jobs. For our facility, we use PLC's (Click PLC's from automationdirect) and a software called AdvancedHMI (which is free) to communicate over IP to each other. If I remember correctly, our computers use ModbusTCP to get values from or set values to our PLC's, and the HMI software uses these values to make an output very similar to what you've done here. One thing is for sure - the direct HMI to arduino interface is much more responsive than what we have. Thanks for the intriguing video

Great as usual ! .. use it with a nodeMCU .. get feedback from a light for example whether its on or off (because I still don't know how to do it!) show temperature of a room, and use it to turn the AC on/off.. add a dimmer with a slider.. and you name it ..

I was looking for a screen to use in my arduino project that didn't look too bad as most tft screen out there's don't seem to display images how they actually look (or maybe it's just me). This is perfect. The only problem is that they don't have a mac version of the editor.

Great tutorial! I like these displays. I'd like to take this 10" display and substitute it for a standard 4" display on a NanoVNA. I'm a ham radio operator. The NanoVNA is a great tool but it's display sucks. It is way too small forguys needing strong glasses and not remotely visible in bright sunlight outside. Any suggestions on where to start? You have to create the fields, buttons etc. with the editor and then send data to the screen using serial. I believe you can change the green parameters of each item. Setting values, txt, color, image number etc..

While uplaoding videos/audios to the internal memory of the Nextion is limited due to memory size, using a sd card would be beneficial and according to the documentation possible. However I did not succeed playing audio from the SD card. Did you try to play videos from SD card?

Tutorial worked great until after adding the "n0.val=" output script to atmega2560, the Nextion screen freezes randomly. My Nextion code should be identical to the shown video code. I have to power cycle the Nextion then it works but only for a few seconds. Is this something you experienced?

After 0.08 seconds of looking, the Nextion and the Arduino must share a common ground. This is basic stuff that I just forgot about!!!

Capacitive reacts when you touch with your finger. Resistive reacts when you touch with anything.
