I don't know why one of your video's popped up in my feed because I had never looked up anything feet online before (maybe I looked up shoes?? lol). And I honestly thought "what is this shit??". Then curiosity got the better of me and I started watching. One video turned into 2 which turned into a few more and soon enough I'd hit the subscribe button. As said, I don't know why, but I'm glad it did.

It's amazing to me how many different people in the world are absolutely taken in by these videos. Even if you've never seen a cow in person in your life, a lot of the herd seems to feel a kinship and a comfort in watching a complete stranger ease the pain and suffering of these great beasts. It's really nice to see, in the world we live in today, that this is the sort of thing people seem to instinctively know to come together over. Also, I don't know if you can tell by the way I've written that, but I... may have watched too many of these in a row. Starting to type like he talks, I swear...

I am so grateful that it has subtitles as I am hearing impaired in both ears. I am watching you guys from Melbourne, Australia and I really enjoy how you go the extra mile in explaining what your doing, why , how it gets to that stage to need treatment and what to do treating the hoof. I call that fantastic customer service skills. You make it so interesting in what you guys are doing, that it maybe a good 30 mins before its time to watch another one. How you interact with each other , you all know what is required of your role in working together. Love the scenery around your travels to different farms. So good to see and hear how proud you are of where you live. I feel the same way about Melbourne. Well done .

You had some beautiful sunny days! I've been in Florida all 48 of my years. I think I'd be depressed without sunshine. The landscape you have is stunning! Here I do live on a bit of a hill. That basically means I'm ABOVE sea level. 😊 Having worked with show horses all my life, I appreciate the importance of the hooves of large animals! My personal show horse had a terrible start to his hoof life as he was kept in a wet stall. We spent 15 years fighting yeast infections and no heel growth. He was a National Show Horse, half-Arabian/half-Saddlebred. A show career of using pads and wedges to give him a heel to meet his performance resulted eventually in arthritis, tendinitis, and broken sesamoids. With retirement, he had a lot of pasture time with specially-made shoes on his hind feet. I did give riding lessons on him and taught my children to ride. He lived to 31½ yrs old with us treating him like a prince. A farrier every 4 weeks and our vet doing his best to keep our Buddy from pain. Then came a day that he could not use his hind legs to stand up. He wanted to. For us. Doc loved Buddy as he knew this horse was a member of our family. We'd had him since he was two years old. It was a hard decision that night but he'd given us all he could. He truly was my first love. So, I really enjoy watching as you carefully trim these cows to give them the best chance at comfort and rehabilitation. Your accent is great to follow too. AND your humor. My children are sarcastic and I love it!

The Hoof GP truly has the health and happiness in mind for all the animals that he comes across. I also appreciate his humor and the love he has for his family and homeland. I recently lost my beloved German Shepherd dog. He was a dog that I got when he was a year and a half old after being abused and neglected by his first two owners. As his disability was in his mind and not his body it took a lot of love, patience and training for him to become the best friend I knew he could be. We had 7 wonderful years together before 2 tick born illnesses had ravaged his body. The decision to let him pass with dignity over the Rainbow Bridge was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I can't imagine watching a family member of over 30 years struggling to remain with you for just a few moments longer. As much as you loved him and wanted him to be with you always, you made the most loving final decision for his sake. My sincere condolences on the loss of the deep friendship that you shared. He'll be there waiting to see you again when the time comes. ❤😘

You provide a great service to your countrymen. I have seen a great many farriers trim hooves, and you are by far the best and most professional that I have seen. Whatever they pay you, you have earned every penny. I live on the beach of the Chesapeake Bay in Norfolk, Virginia. It is home to the world's largest navel base and people here speak many languages, so it is easy for me to understand you. The diversity of the people here is what makes this a great place to live. Me too! Scotland is a beautiful country and the views that Graeme shows us are so different than the American country side. I’m visiting Scotland in September and hope it’s still got some of that vibrant green!

Weird question: does temperature ever impact your work? Do hooves trim differently in winter vs summer?

Oh good question, I'm wondering too? Also, does it get too cold or hot to do the trim or better to wait ?

Yes, GP and Crew have helped with my own chronic anxiety and depression due to disability since a young age, onset coming out of no where. He's a friend to to us, yeah?! Vets and the disabled "communities" are among the elderly; we're typically quite lonely. But here, GP invites us yo come along, cares not what our states or conditions are regarding all of us😇 Thank You, from a grateful Nation, for serving in the military, wherever you may be from in the world.🇱🇷🙏

Greenan Farm is absolutely gorgeous and it pleases and nourishes my soul to see it… Graeme and Cragie Boy are so fortunate to visit and work on these lovely farms…I know it’s not all peaches and cream…and certainly doesn’t smell or taste like peaches and cream..but good on you both for the work you lads do…❤️🇨🇦 You are Good Men doing a very important job that ,99.9% of city people haven’t a clue about…they just go to the grocery store and pickup their milk, cream, cheese , lamb and beef without a thought at to all about where it all came from…and all the care and ATTENTION that made it all possible……

Depending upon where you live, you might be able to watch hooves worked on by volunteering at your local humane society. When they get a hooved animal into the practice you could assist their docs..

It is always good to hear the farmers asking you questions and passing onto you their knowledge of the cows. Although you are busy you have time to have conversations with farmers about the herd, which helps maintain the health and wellbeing of the cows.
