If you show up with a dollar card that is printed, I hope no one plays with you. That is the cheapest shit I've ever seen. I understand printing expensive shit. That shouldn't be expensive but if a car cost a dollar and you're like no, I'm going to print it. Also, it's unjustified too because the cheaper cards are probably the less powerful cards, which most likely means those cards are probably never getting banned.

I remember when commanders quarters got started and he was building decks exactly how we were in my group. I built a Taniwha stax deck for under 100 bucks and it was such a challenge having to research for weeks, now you can just go on edhrec and have everything done and ordered for you in like 20 minutes.

Thankfully the vote was 21-2 to uphold the Bans on the store Discord, and we went a bit further by telling the 2 dissenting pubstompers they were welcome to stop coming to FNM.

The difference is reprints temper the price, typically only dropping it slightly. Banning drops it near to 0.

The rules committee is going to kill the game. My LGS sold 2/3 the boxes for duskmorn as they do for other bad sets.... My area had a lot of long time players who'd open tons of boxes and sustained the local budget community by donating bulk to the penny box. Not anymore.

No they aren't rules committee did just fine... You people act like they've never played a game with a banlist. In yugioh I have spent several HUNDREDS of dollars on decks for them to get hit amd have to buy a new deck or buy new staples. Bruh when Lightning storm dropped it was like $130 a copy! When Tearlament dropped their field spell was like $80-$100 and you needed 3. You need to be able to read metagame trends and spot potentially problematic cards then decide if you want to sell into the hype or hold. It's like playing the stock market. The value of your card should not determine what the market does... period. That is how it works in literally every other card game including when wizards does the banlist for other formats.

I was so happy to see the vote to uphold the Bans go 21-2 on the shop Discord. (Resident pubstompers dissenting, followed by some delicious raging.) I was so proud of my friend Jared. He lost 1400$ to the Bans, yet voted to uphold. There are a LOT of LGSs where people were abusing the hell out of Crypt and Dockside in casual games. Just because YOU didn’t see it happening doesn’t mean it wasn’t happening at a lot of LGSs, like mine.
