Incredible video Kenny! Lots and lots of "Unobtanium" in that shed for sure, and configurations I've never seen on a D. I can also appreciate the original condition of most of them, they can only be original once and seeing that is literally looking back in time. Another fun fact - you mentioned the low production numbers of 1943 D's, well 1943 was an odd year for Caterpillar too in that it was the only model year of the D2 line that didn't see ANY D2's built, because of the war effort and production priorities focusing on the larger machines, they just didn't build any. I wish I could give this video more than one thumbs up, it's just that good!

It's truly a treasure trove of stuff/tractors/engines. This is maybe 1/3 of his collection - I will have to go back to get the other parts at a later date... Very interesting fact about the D2's. I think that people discount the 42 and 43 model year tractors - most manufacturers had very limited production during these years.. The Case SC, I believe in 1943, had BRASS brake pedals on it! How cool would it be to get a pair of those?!

Amazing collection of John Deere Model D tractors. Thank you for bringing us along on the tour. How many vintage tractors does he have, and are they all the green and yellow variety? Nice little sign off at the end of your video for the John Deere that will be used to save another. Hans, if you're reading this, thank you for the tour and for preserving and restoring vintage tractor history. 🚜 👍

I'm not sure how many JD's he has, but I do know that his father started collection in about 1976. So, there is 50 years of parts, tractors, engines, signage, and other memorabilia. It would be an all day event or all weekend event to go through the entire collection and have him explain each piece. I am pretty sure his collection is primarily JD, but I never thought to ask! Ha ha!

I have a 1930 D and I need some replacement rod bearings....I bought a set of new ones but they are wider for serial number earlier than mine....help!
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanch6 ай бұрын
Do you have insert bearings, or babbit bearings? If they are babbit bearings they will need to be relined and turned to size. I used Paul's Rod and Bearing in Parkersville, MO.
