Huge problem fixed Dodge Ram 3500 with a S&B Fuel Tank!

Your wife seems very cool. Nice job on tank. I'm on my 3rd tank and 2nd fill tube. The newer fuel stations the Rams don't like the filler nozzles.

In the stock engine mounted fuel filter housing I would only run the Fleetguard/Mopar Filter its designed specifically for the housing and will give give you the best filtering and seal. FS53000 Nanonet is a two stage 5 micron outer 3 micron inner. Notice the Fleetguard/Mopar filter is oval shaped look inside the housing the flute is also oval shaped . Just saying you will get your best filtering with the stock housing with Fleetguard/Mopar filters . Thank you for the video on the install on the tank looks good .

Baldwin makes a 5 micron filter for stock spot.

To avoid the extra swipe. Before you fuel hit 78989 hold the enter button then you can bypass that and enter any preset amount you want.

With that fuel filter you're at big risk of injectors failure, That's what I had to do after using it a couple of times Because the one you took out sels the bottom, and the new one doesn't, and if you look to the bottom of the housing, there is always some debris laying in there, so I will never put those kind of filters in my trucks anymore. I'm looking to upgrade my thank to how do you like the tank?

There should have been a program module that fits the OBD2 slot to recalibrate the tank size. You return the unit at no charge. They do not make a tank for my 2001 Ram 3500,

You both are a fantastic couple and I’m thinking of getting a titan tank how is the s&b tank doing for yall I have the s&b cold air intake on my ram 3500 and it actually gave me 1 more mile to the gallon by getting rid of the factory junk one.

Ahhh sweet!! They must have just recently came out with that. I know they had stuff for Ford and Chevy but not Dodge at that time. I’ll definitely check it out.

The only thing that sucks about the Ram is you can only set it to 194 liters or 51 gallons any more and the fuel gauge will freak out. Also depending on the age of the truck 2018+ you may have to get a security module bypass harness from Kaodtech to be able to reprogram the BCM that controls the fuel gauge. In the process of finding a tank for my 2018 2500 I found all this info on a few different Ram forums. I ended up deciding to go with Titan for the hope of a more accurate distance until empty gauge and I found it on Amazon for the same price as S&B with free shipping and I wanted to support an American company. Just found your video and wanted to see how your experience with the tank change went.

TSC has a replacement pour spout to fix those stupid had can nozzles. It also comes with a vent to install in the can.

I see in my banks super gauge it looks like you can adjust your fuel capacity. Also if you have an autel mk808 you can adjust it as well

Hope your sending unit in your tank is set right or you will have to drive 100 miles before it comes off fuel and don’t ask me how I know. I am wanting to do the same with a 60-65 gal tank .

I can not believe you didn’t put a Fleece in tank lift pump while you had it out you will regrest that move. It looks like a factory but the is concrete alum and has 2 gear motor pumps and one plugs into factory harness and 2nd comes with harness and reley and fuse . The pumps put out 21lbs and if one goes out you can still run on other pump.

Yes it just drops down after doing all that. And removing the tanks straps too. It probably took me a total of 4hrs to do with filming.

I have a 2500 with a 6.4. Why Ram puts only a 31 gallon in the short bed kills me. Ford offers a 36 gallon tank on a 150. I think I will do the same and upgrade the tank at some point

I have no idea why they think a 31-32 gallon tank is a good idea for big truck. Just blows my mind. We are very happy with our tank so far. We drove from NE Ohio to western Colorado on 2 tanks. Makes a world of difference when towing.

It’s all about pay load the little tank let’s you haul more so that’s why you have to put big tank in after you buy it the sticker on door still shows lighter weight.

Buy the right tools, they are not that expensive! You will need it it sooner or later for for a DEF pump replacement!
