So, the word on the street is that apparently rattlesnakes are not doing much rattling as of late. Reason being, theoretically speaking, is that when they rattle that's what gets them killed. Meaning shot by humans. Or so I've been told.

That was a very mellow rattle snake. Probably due to the age. I've seen one bigger though at Bear Creek Airport in Murrietta. Even the fire dept was surprised. I had to call them to come get it because it was so big I didn't want it hanging around my trailer with the dog and all.

yeah, I was done picking up them buzz tails 15 years ago when the one I was holding unhinged his or her jaw and got me right at the back of my fingernail luckily not much venom, but it stung for a few days.

I’ve seen two people ahead of me on the trail literally step over a rattlesnake Seems they don’t rattle anymore to keep people from harassing them

Saw a huge one by Silverwood as he crossed the dirt road and took up 3/4 of it plus it had to be at least as fat as a man's arm.
