HUGE SECRET About My 5-Year-Old Rabbit!

Typically, female Holland lop rabbits stop being able to bare live litters around 3-4 years old, depending on health, genetics, and how many litters they've carried. Camilla is nearly 5, and her last litter was in the fall of 2018, so I was absolutely shocked that she had a baby survive. ❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜 I'm so thankful that I found the cold baby in time and was actually able to keep him warm with a hot water bottle for two weeks! 😲

My goodness Diane, I am so happy to see Camilla with this little puff ball. I’ve had a couple of single births myself and luckily I’ve always had another litter to pair them off with to keep them warm and social. Having just the parent and baby combo is extra special however and I’m glad you get to experience this. Also, I just had 5 Holland kits myself who just hit 2 1/2 weeks and my Clara Belle blessed with 5 different colors! One Chinchilla, one Red, one broken black and white, one full black, and one light grey charlie! I was surpirsed because this has never happened before. It was like the nest box was being popped open like a fresh pack of elementary school crayons! All different colors. I’m kinda in a baby mood myself so I just wanted to share in the excitement with you!
