As per my understanding, SA at Hermes in Shanghai are rude for the right reasons. They wanna try to kick the resellers out, and also anyone whos not "worthy" of their brand. The market in China is different to the States where Americans tend to enjoy the items for themselves rather than aiming to make a profit or to show off like a brat. Sorry if I am too honest or generalising

I don't think your understanding is right. In China, ppl buy from overseas lux resellers because luxury brands outside China tend to be cheaper. So within China, most ppl go to Hermes to purchase items to enjoy for themselves. Nonetheless, as a service provider, no SA should be rude to customers for wanting to buy their products, there's no right reason for this behavior.
