I'd love that but I vaguely remember when vampires were released after some backlash about them breaking in and sucking blood EA changed the code to stop it happening. They may be too wary to introduce burglars

Well for the 2/25 thin that just has “👀” notably they played an audio from TS2(specifically Sul Sul from its intro) and brought attention to the audio. Also many of the items for the upcoming event are based on items from previous games(the Bella Goth milk carton for example) So I bet it has something to do with the previous titles in the franchise

remember that the sims 2 base game started with "EA Games. Challenge Everything", "Sul, sul" intro was introduced later so I think it is more about TS3 or both TS3 and TS2

My fav part of this announcement was the reactions by Sims streamers who woke up early around the WORLD for 7 mins of... whatever this was. (Actually it was only a 6 min speedrun, as the first min was a countdown by beloved sims streamers [and that was cool]) They were flabbergasted it ended so soon, as we all were.

There’s been a lot of speculation the eyeballs emoji might be them bringing sims 2 and sims 1 back to the ea app. With all of the nostalgia talk it would make a lot of sense OR I could see them doing a nostalgia expansion pack because it was in a survey awhile ago. I believe they talked about bringing back usable wall phones, newspapers, malls and burglars? I might be wrong on some of those but I’d be happy with eithet

I’m happy they are giving us decent free stuff as well as overhauling some base game builds. Such refreshes are much needed. I didn’t have any hopes for this anniversary so I will take what I can get, however I still will never spend a dime on any kits for such a ridiculous price. Sad sims are going the battle pass route but I still enjoy some aspects.

All I ask for, and I said this on their IG, is a band kit (where my sims can finally have the drums), fairies, and I say preteens for a reason and here’s why. The child life stage is definitely between 7, 8, to 9 years old tops, they look no older than that. I just hate that they go from little kids and age up into teenagers that look like they’re 16-17 years old and it’s SO unrealistic. I know the sims is unrealistic but it always pmo. The preteen life stage, believe it or not, is extremely important for everyone. You’re going from being a child to becoming a teenager, so 11 to 13! I’m just ranting but I would LOVE preteens, obviously.

Not sure if it's going to happen because of the California fires, but I have a hunch that the celebratory livestream will feature some announcements about the upcoming movie. This would be a great opportunity to hype up the movie by revealing the main cast. Because outside of actual fans of the game, this movie needs all the marketing they can get to attract some mainstream attention. Again, the California fires have (rightfully) sent Hollywood into an emergency mode but hopefully things will have gotten better by then.

Having noted that, I sincerely wish they would stop putting baby hairs on otherwise decent hair options; they look painted on in the Sims 4 art style which is soooooo frustrating. So many hair options I would use but for the fact that they make my sim look like a badly done knock-off Barbie. Sigh . . .

Everyone who is excited about the Sims 4 turning into Fortnite, should realize they are dancing on the ashes of a beloved franchise. 25 years, a quarter of a century and half of my life. There a people out there who have genuinely been active simmers the whole time. The new simmers, who’ve only been playing the free version, should keep in mind that people paid $60 for a SINGLE PLAYER GAME. The current state of the game is unacceptable for a luxury product with a price tag of over $1500. Paying tribute to loyal fans of 25 years with a battle pass reward system is beyond insulting. The people in the life stream were still sh*thing in their diapers when sims 1 launched. They really dropped the ball. What happened to professionalism? Are we to entertain a world full of infantile adults in their display of incompetence? What an humiliating end to the Sims franchise.

I hope they finally announce they will fix all the bugs that started with the base game and have been build upon with more bugs. Too many broken packs that need some TLC and are not getting it. I still don't understand how they keep releasing buggy/broken stuff and not get in trouble with the law for selling products that don't work as intended. On top of that, it is hard for them to justify it when modders fix the bugs within a day or 2. And now, they want CC creators to create stuff so they can profit from it? That is just downright evil. So for all who keep asking people why they are disappointed... we were hoping for the game to get fixed. Are we happy with the stuff we receive and the fact they updated the townie houses? Of course! Did we need a new start screen? Nope, but are we content with it? We'll see. Don't forget that there has NEVER been an update without patches needed to fix the update. It's bothersome that they can't get things right the first time. But that is what they did with the base game and they got away with it.

LOL They premiered a 7 minute video that was overhyped. They speedran through it all, people didn't even really see what there was. You can be excited, no problem.
