This is probably the reality check Wrexham needed. They've acknowledged for two years that the dream will become harder as they rise through the leagues. The best possible thing that could happen to them is to be demonstrated this by a rock solid outfit like Birmingham. Forget the hype. This was a test of strength between two clubs with aspirations. Today Brum showed they're the better side. Wrexham's immediate priority is to to work out how to turn that situation around and/or ensure that the same outcomes don't eventuate against the other big boys looking to restore past fortunes - and they're sitting there waiting and planning......

As a Wrexham fan I agree. Wrexham definitely need to improve and bring a few more signings in January if they want to stay in the automatic/play offs. However I personally don’t think we’re ready for the championship as a club yet, maybe in a season or two as we currently need our new stand built, our new training ground built as well as a team that looks like it could stay and hold its own in the championship and not come straight back down. I think the squad we’ve got is a really good league one squad and with a few players brought in January it could be even better but I don’t think we’re championship quality just yet. All that a side, 5 years ago if someone would of told me we’d be playing Birmingham away on a Monday night in league one live on sky sports with A list celebrities attending I’d of said they were off there heads! As a Leeds united fan I agree with the author's statement Wrexham have a few things to change and build on but played extremely well I thought they would actually win best of luck boys 🙏💪 Should be Birmingham league 1 Wrexham championship Also edited for the Wrexham fan above league 2 and 1 teams do not get airtime unless it's certain cups therefore no big money to become a championship team a division less than 1 of Europe's biggest leagues being prem you defo get that cash for upgrades lad. First season in league one nobody expects to get promoted. The majority of fans know this and the board. The aim this season is to stay in league one and compete at a good level. It’ll next season maybe the season after that Wrexham will push for the championship or at least expect too.

We’re not ready for the championship and a majority of fans know this and the owners. The aim this season is to stay in league one and compete at a good level. We’re currently waiting on our new stand to be built as well as our new training ground. I think it’ll be a couple of season before Wrexham is truly expected to push for the championship

Best loss I’ve ever experienced. Playing Birmingham away in league one on a Monday night live on sky sports attended by A-List celebrities! 😂 few years ago we were playing the likes of Weymouth and Solihull. I’ve waited a long time to see Wrexham back in league one and mix it up against some big teams after us falling out the league and nearly going bust!
