Seeds are good for years as long as you keep them dry , put them in ziplock bag or a sealed plastic container . Great find !!

Store seed packets in air tight baggies or containers in a cool dry place and they should be good for next spring.

Get your mini greenhouse going…lettuce, spinach, radishes grow so easy inside if you’ve got a good sunny window. (we grow lettuce in April - north of Maine - in the front window of an old school bus!) Use your plastic lettuce/spring mix containers or plastic cake containers. 👍🐾🇨🇦

Most seed packets have a sow by date on the back, usually you get 2 years from date of harvest, majority of seeds do last quite a bit but the germination rate can drop, the worst ones for storage are parsnips and carrots. Best thing to do is at the beginning of the year, is a germination test to give yourself a rough idea of the germination rate, then if needed you can double or triple the amount of seeds you sow in one spot.

You can actually start seedlings in the spring and sell. You can't possibly use all in your garden. Seeds will still be mostly good. Germination rate will just be a little lower so double up on each pot.

Yes, most of those seeds will be just fine. (I’ve used Dollar Store seeds before - they grew.) The only ones that might have a lower germination rate are the carrot seeds - I’d plant them a little thicker. (You can plant the micro greens immediately - they take no time at all. ) I noticed you have iceberg lettuce seeds. I love growing this - it is a deeper green colour, is a looser head, and the flavour is so nice - quite a different beast than those at the grocery store. Have fun!

We use seeds that are several years old. Most germinate. You can keep some seeds in the fridge or freezer from one year to the next.

You've actually got enough time to get some lettuce, radish, maybe carrots and few cold weather crops going now depends on when your first frost date is but if you have brassica (ie; cabbage, broccoli, Brussel, collards etc ) they can handle light freeze so even if first frost is sooner you can plant them in protected area or cover when freeze with sheet and they will still produce, same with carrots, tops will be jacked but root will still grow for a while. Especially if you are going to have a milder winter. Look at farmers almanac, you may still be able to grow some stuff! Lord this has me all giddy, lol. I love gardening!

I know but I think coming up this fall gardening there's some stuff that you're still able to plant like I think cucumbers not sure what zone you are in Grow Zone rather. But I know that onions and garlic and carrots if I'm not mistaken can be seated now and they grow over the the later part of fall. Look up and see but I'm pretty sure themselves will be good until next year if stored properly some you can put in the freezer and some just in a cool dry place. What a score that's called a resource renewable groceries and them flowers have special properties to help keep pests away from your garden that will destroy your crops and also some flowers are edible but I'm pretty sure y'all knew that..
