Former Target employee here. If you get anything with a salvage sticker on it, it has been returned. Most likely bc the person bought the wrong size/item so they come and switch out for the right one. If the employees at guest services do their job right and inspect the items when returned, they should be okay to resell. Loved this video btw!

They say in the beginning of the video they are asking 40%. I think they might get that for a few items only. I sold on most of the places they mention and it ain't easy. You are right all the work that goes into even 1 package is a lot. When you sell on marketplace people don't show up or try to talk you down when they get there. You can't even get 10% at flea markets and the like.

@@carlhammill5774 Maybe the money is in the videos. How much do these "influencers" make anyway. Would you pay 40% for half this stuff? In the first place you may be able to get it at the store for 50% off on a sale. 40% is unrealistic except for a few items.

Former receiver at target... try to avoid salvage. I have scanned many $1000 of items just from the store changing out their aisles. Many bigger boxes may have smaller items in them such as make up, nail polish, softlines such as clothing, towels, wash cloths, etc. Many vendors do get their items sent back to them. So you are getting what Target basically bought without a return contract. Hey you did well on this pallet. I think in AZ we can get them at Phoenix. Are they priced by the weight? We were always told load each pallet heavily, hence the not uniformally stacked pallets. Lolz.
@JAMIEANDSARAH Жыл бұрын
Ahh interesting info, thanks! The pallets are usually all priced the same depending on if they are Amazon, Walmart, Target etc…

@@JAMIEANDSARAH anytime. Ty for the info. Target usually scans out merchandise every 6-9 weeks. Watch when things go on clearance. They are basically a week or two away from emptying the sales floor making room for new products/ different sku's.

Look, you guys don't need hype you guys are cool and funny it's just awesome watching you go through these boxes. Okay now look at all those little tents you got I know from having two little daughters myself you set up a 10 or a little playroom tent like thing I'm telling you they will get years of fun out of it inside the house and you can have another one to take camping you might have two or three of them you want to keep her out put one in the back of the van or something or the back of the truck when you go somewhere to the store or something and one of you stay outside while they play in their tent anyway. If either one of my daughters was here they'd tell you they loved their little camp thing playpen whatever it was that they had. Okay that's my two cents worth.

I worked at Target for years-don’t sorry about those marked “Salvage.” When items go clearance and continue to be reduced they often then go to Salvage and used to end up at Goodwill. Certain items like diapers or those packaged chips you always find ;) often get returned, open if the guest can’t use them for some reason…they can’t be resold so also “go salvage.”

First time watching. I have a suggestion for the makeup storage containers…..in your description include can be used for storage in craft room and home office. I am an artist/crafter and I have and use makeup organizers and other items that are traditionally used for makeup, in the kitchen etc…..for storage and in my creative process as well as on my desk to store office supplies. Sometimes the makeup organizers are similar to office supply organizers but less expensive. I have a few of those dollar spot trays (round and square ones). I bought a few small plastic turntable tables from dollar tree and attached the trays to them to make small lazy Susan’s to put art supplies for projects I am working on. Sorry this post so long. When I look at things my brain is always thinking, “how many different ways can an item be utilized or combine with other items to create something new etc….

We bought 4 target pallets here in Nebraska from logistics. complete garbage. got lots of dollar junk like toilet paper, baby wipes, kids 5 dollar clothing, etc. lost 600.00 x 4 so not doing that again. so glad you had a much better experience with your target pallets. The amazon pallets we used to buy from logistics were 400.00 a pallet a year ago now they are 600.00 plus tax a pallet for the same junk. had to throw away 80% of the items. very sad after buying from them for 2 years....seems like quality has gotten worse over the years and prices sky rocketing. I understand the bigger your pallet company gets, the more employees you pay for and insurance, etc. but it made us have to look for another supplier. fortunately we found a different supplier now that is totally awesome. we pay have the price and get much better stuff and we don't have to throw out hardly anything. It would take us 4 months to get our money back on the 600 pallets vs now it takes a few weeks. So my point...never give up. If you find the pallets in your area are getting too expensive the quality is junk....research online and you WILL find better sources...thanks for sharing your experiences with us and be transparent.
