I am a recent subscriber. I normally craft with wire to make jewelry, bookmarks etc. But I am a full-time elementary teacher and have been teaching for 29 years. Over the years, I have accumulated many paper scraps from left over student projects, gift bags from student gifts and even bulletin board odds and ends. I couldn’t bring myself to throw any of it away because it is still good stuff! I did not know what I would do with it. It all is cluttering my drawers, closets, etc. Teachers often give away these types of things when they retire or change sites. We also have books from old curriculum that often get tossed or remain cluttering storage areas. Your video came up in a recommendations list. I was attracted to the beauty. I am on summer break and have been binge watching. I finally have something I can do with all these things that I have available to me. I am very grateful. Thank you.🌼

First of all, the Junk Drawer Chronicles sounds absolutely amazing. Your joy in creating this little masterpiece was palpable. I think this video illustrates beautifully what junk journaling is (or can be) and that you can most definitely put your own mark on making something, because this project has that very distinct ‘made by Natasa’ touch. Gorgeous in every way!

I wasn’t so sure why this video was so inspiring to me, but, you hit the nail on the head when you said “freeing“, as I am often at an impasse, as to how to continue with half-baked projects, or even getting started with a new one. free to plunge my hand in the grab bag and glue, sew and create -away with whatever I have ! 🎉Bravo !

Oh yes, please, more of these junky junk journals! I love these so much! l think this is what I really think a junk journal should be it's junk, junk mail or junk from whatever you have made! We don't always need digital kits, or stckers, stencils, or stamps. I've made an album with just scraps & i made flowers out of magazines like pockets, belly bands, corner tucks. I used old paper bags. Also made some pockets from yellow packaging & what my prescription comes in a neat, small paper bag, a coin envelope, junk mail envelopes! There's ton of things around your home to use. Just use your imagination! It's fun, really! You'll love it once you get into it. Yeah, I use the digital prints & stickers too in other albums. But I try to use what I have! So yes, please, more videos of these junky junk journals! Thanks so much for sharing! I'm going go to watch your other video you made doing amother junky junk journal! Thanks! ♥️☺️🫂🦋🌹✨️

1:17 -- "I have this massive junk drawer...I know it looks horrendous." -- Girl, that's not a horrendous junk drawer! Like most Southerners in America I keep my junk drawer in the kitchen. In addition to paper and fabric scraps, bits of ribbon or twine I also have the dead, but I'm not sure they're dead batteries, pens and pencils, twist ties, the random birthday candle, old keys no one know what they go to anymore, rubber bands, paper clips, a clothes pin, and of course the extra buttons that come with sweaters which you’re never going to use but keep anyway and eventually forget which sweater they go to. 😉 It would be fascinating to see what could be created with those odds and ends! 😂❤

Love and Love this! Its exactly perfect for learning, inspiration! I only use garbage (literally)... only purchase basic paints, markers, glue, pens, sissors and white copy paper for my journals. No kits, downloads, stickers. My only rule for myself; is to not purchase anything over and above these basic supplies. There are very few videos available that does NOT use downloads, kits, inks, store bought stamps, stickers, tapes, trim, fancy print two sided or one sided paper, etc. As a newbie to Junk Journaling, I have binged watched hundreds of videos to learn techniques, folds, layering, pockets, etc... learned the basics and different ways of how to build a journal from the cover up to a completed journal. Approx 98 percent of all how to videos use kits, downloads or store bought speciality tools, materials and supplies. Only about 2 percent is for a true junk journal using what can be created at home without having to purchase anything... Yes, the store bought stuff is beautiful... for me the real art lies in taking garbage or junk I have in my home and make it look as beautiful as the kits and speciality papers. Its a real challenge to create a journal from garbage that looks as stunning as the store bought kits and downloads. ..My only supplies are from my junk drawer that looks like yours... I do not have full sheets of fancy kits or papers or anything bought new, only true junk and garbage... Please make this a series... I would for sure never miss one! Its what I feel is traditional junk journaling! It would really help me to take my homemade junk/art journaling to the next level.
