5:54 error code 0001 probably, power failure, best case scenario its the capacitors, thats why there is no fan spin. no power to the gpu/cpu or southbridge, therefore no fan spin. worst case scenario there is short somwhere on the board requiring testing with a multimeter with some good readings to pinpoint the error, find the component and replace it. edit: 8:28, also another 0001, a way to check is by holding the controller sync button and pressing the eject, you can extract an error code and then search it online for a more in depth description of the issue.

@@tbailz118 no problem bro, a good pointer that the caps are bad is bulging or brown/orange liquid leaking out of the top of them where the x looking shape is on the top of them. hope this helps!

I have the same error code onmy 360 but try as i might i couldnt desolder the bad caps out any tips? ​@Endzima_

@@davidg86 use flux (good flux, kingbo is a cheap, decent flux) use the right temp, id use about 350 or 400, if it doesn't work go higher, flux is really needed, it helps the solder flow. try pull out the legs 1 by one and dont force it, you will pull traces. good luck

I plan to continue doing basic diagnostic / testing. then do some more in depth board level repairs ( hdmi ports ) and start branching out trying more stuff.
