HUGE Upgrades to the 2025 Harley Davidson Street Bob!? Harley Davidson has now released their 2025 model year motorcycles with some massive upgrades to the cruiser line up. I will take a look specifically at the changes to the Harley Davidson Street Bob which now has some changes from the tank, motor, technology and much more.

I will buy a Street Bob in 2026 because of the 117 engine. I had a Low Rider ST with the 117 engine. I loved this engine. And then I had a Street Bob 114. The Street Bob with the 117 engine is now the fulfillment of my dreams.

I can’t see how anyone liked the old lcd readout. This new dial is a huge improvement. Love the return of the lace wheels but I like the older #1 graphic. 117 vs 114 doesn’t look like a big increase. Overall it’s a pretty good update.

Thanks for the informative vid. I purchased a new Street Bob in 2007 and loved it. Been riding non-stop since 1976, all Japanese bikes until the '07 Harley. My wife however hated it and I didn't blame her, she was used to the armchair comfort of a Goldwing. So I traded it for an Ultra Classic in 2008, and then after riding it 75,000 miles traded it for a 110 year anniversary Ultra Classic in 2013. Put about 85,000 miles on that bike until I sold it last year. I want/need a new ride, and since my wife doesn't ride with me anymore, and I'm no longer doing long distance riding, I'm seriously looking at the new Street Bob. Thanks again. I just wish they offered a flat denim model without the chrome...

I don't really need, or want all the tech, but it's a nice touch. The only thing is with the upgrades the price is going up. I do like this version of the bike over the previous years and putting a little chrome back on the bike is a very nice touch.

How is there no black trim option? Just call this the soft tail standard and say you discontinued the street bob

Great assessment of the new SB. The only thing that was surprising, was this is the only Softail without the 5 gal fuel tank! Why not just make ALL Softail tanks be the 5gal? Outside of that, I think the new bike looks great. If I were to trade in my ‘22, I’d get a black one with the laced wheels now that they are tubeless. 👊

why not upgrade the brakes? Single disk is such a disappointment. All that great upgraded stuff and they leave out the most important.

10 years ago, you could get the Dina Street Bob for a little bit more than 14.000€, in ten years the price increase it's ridiculous, nowadays it's 20k€... The Dina had the big tank with the gauges in it, and laced wheels stock too.

I love the new look. I loved the old look too. The 25 model looks so retro. The tank badging, the breather, the chrome. I wish the bars were chrome and they had kept the shotgun exhaust, but otherwise, I really like the look. It is definitely too expensive, but everything is too expensive right now. At least they made real and significant upgrades to the bike.

Man, I'm all for new bikes and usually love them, but i have to say I still like my 22 Redline Red Street Bob. I put cruise on my 22. The 117 is still less than the 117 on the Low Rider. I like blacked out, and not a fan of that being gone. Dont care fore the 2-1 exhaust either. The LED is cool. Ill keep my 22. 👍🤟

Dislike the chrome only option , tank graphics , speedo location, air intake , and price. The ABS , traction control, and ride modes is a positive. Also the bigger engine though the gains are minimal . Overall I’ll stick with my 22’ , but maybe some people might like the changes 🤷‍♂️

I demo'd a couple 117s and I'm not a fan, the on/off throttle fueling is abysmal. I don't care about modes, just give me one that delivers the fuel linearly in proportion to how far my wrist is turned. Aside from that, love the yellow. Probably go with a black badge. I like the old Evo round air filter. I dig the tubeless spoked wheels too. A fan of the single exhaust; aside from a nice clean line, it also allows you to access the axle bolt w/o dropping the exhaust. I liked the tidy look of the old speedo, but this one would be easier for us old folks to see. Perhaps the best thing about this is you can snap on a windshield and some water proof throw over bags and you got a nice touring bike. I don't like the mid pegs. With the low seats, these softies always make me feel like I fell in a toilet with the seat up when I sit on them. If I was in the market, this would be high on my list...with a windscreen and some black Heritage floorboards mounted forward.

They only need it to increase the size of the back tyre to 160 or 180,maybe a dual break on the front wheel. Traction control ( makes all sense),well done Harley. The rest is all bollocks. They destroyed the look of the bike with the chrome and the exhaust.

What is weird, to me, is the new gauge is analog speed and not RPM. My '23 FXLRS is RPM analog and digital speed. I like RPM better. From an OEM point of view(HD), they have to make 2 different gauges(mph and kmh). That seem sort of silly. They're dumping the same unit into every softail.

Don't big them up them the tank looks cheap, the dash is also a DOWNGRADE, that digi dash was and is a premium piece of kit, only the low rider st got it last year the standard low rider did not. It has all the info you need and looks like no clocks are installed which is awesome. Also unlike all harleys analogue clocks the thing tends not to condensate. I bet this new cheap one does. Another negative is the new clock will be hard to integrate into riser setups whereas the digi one allowed for lots of customisation options. The engine finishes have also been DOWNGRADED to the softail standard specs. Talk about kiss ass. If you think it looks better why did you not buy the standard. The switchgear is also cheaper and looks hideous. Led indicators all around is a plus, cornering ABS is a plus. Rider modes are a con and just a way to force stricter emission controls via their VVT motor. Its A 117 and only gives 1ftIbs of torque more than the raw 114. I bet they tried 114 with VVT and the bike was slower than a standard 114. They were forced to go 117 just to equal a raw 114 for power. The 2 into 1 pipe seems nicer but means no more cheap slip on upgrades, now you have to replace the entire system. The air filter is another downgrade, the Ventilator was and is a good standalone airfilter, good enough for a stage one and even stage two. The new one will need to be replaced to get enough flow through it. To me the bike is no longer striking looking it looks plain and boring. 2022 - 2024 these are the best of the Streetbobs to date.

Basically, harley just pulled a fast one on everybody...... the bike that they axed was the street bob. The bike that they kept was the soft tail standard. But they switched the names!!! And no, I would not buy this new version.

I do not like the new look unfortunately. Feel like they just want to make this the entry level and put aspects of super glide and street bob together and doesn’t have a very good looking aesthetic. The only other driver side I would have wanted was the traction control. Not that worried about drive modes… it seems a step back.

The Street Bob died once it became a Softail. If you want a Harley Street Bob go buy a used DYNA 2015, 2016, 2017 the last year for the DYNA. Trash bikes after that.
