For what I've seen, that granny square yarn can take a few tries to make the colors align, and you're supposed to get 14 squares per skein lol. I cant get the yarn in my country but i'd love to try it one day. I think your granny squares have a lot of personality and the hoodie is looking great!

Yeah you get 14 if you do 5 rows I believe, I did four rows so it lasted longer

I got a WHOLE bunch of velvets a while ago from joanns and I love them! I actually made some scrunchies from the velvets and they turn out so beautiful and soft 🖤 not sure if you’re into amigurumi, but the velvets are really great for things like a no sew octopus (: I heard those also sell well at markets. Fingers crossed I can start up a market in my town sometime this summer 😅☺️

I knew you’d run into trouble either way that granny square yarn. It’s your gauge. Your gauge needs to exactly match their gauge. It’s nuts, it’s easier to just colour change.

A few ideas of what to make. With the cotton that makes really nice granny square bandanas and halter/crop tops. @passionatekelsie has great tutorials on YT and sells patterns on her website. The velvet makes really nice scrunchies and amigurumi. You should definitely do a fair or market. Keep confident, keep positive!!
