when your braid line is wrinkled up like that, it's bad. In a long run, it will tangle up!

Just bought this reel. Spoiled it with 60lb power pro 30lb top shot. Got it on a super seeker fl270-8h. Any complaints about this reel ? My only concern is reeling in bigger fish. Might go ahead and order the 20HG followed by the 30 after that to replace some old penn500s that I have. That way I have a good arsenal.

I've killed plenty fish with my 16, to be honest, you don't need 60lb braid, if you're fishing 30lb topshot, you can get away with 40, If you fish your drag right, you'll be good, the torium doesn't even have enough drag to break off 40lb with sheer drag pressure.

If a fish spools u on a reel as big as the torium 20, trinidad 20, talica 12 or 16, .. .your drag is either set wayy to loose, or the fish deserves to live. Bumping up to a 30 and letting a fish run over 500 yards isn't realistic..... if u have a 100 yards of topshot a 20 size reel has enough backing after your top shot to get the job done.. if your not casting 100 yards then u shouldn't worry about have a 30 size reel .. the talica 20/25 for big blue fin fishing knife jigs.. u need alot of line. I hooked and landed a 150# blue fin on 40lb test fishing the Speedmaster 12. And have over 50 yards of line out before I got bit .... I was long soaking a Carolina rig with a live sardine.. 3/4 weight. .. I got it done having the right amount of drag . .. just some food for thought when u pick out reels. Know what there capacity and capabilities are

My drag on my torium is jerky just like yours. Smooth when loose.. jerky when tight.

take it appart, clean the drag stack and lightly grease the carbon washers

Your reel is off center. Your braid looked loose when you had a lot of line out. That music was horrible. With that said... nice stick work, and decent yellows!

Shawn yup i noticed that too reel got loose while fighting the fish.. still landed the fish though I tightened it up so for the 2nd fish it was fine

i've seen alot of people set them up like that.. I have no idea why.

You need to hit the gym bro and tighten up that drag to bring the yellows in faster. That's why you fish with that reel, rod and line...!! Also tell those rookie fisherman to get the hell out the way when your on.!!
