Same issue as mine sir ,month old pa reel nako 16HGLH .Nakasulay ko if mag retrieve ko muhulos ang line bisan hapit na full drag.

Please read the manual of the reel first. You should release the star drag than turn the Preset knob ( it is at the same face of the star drag) to clockwise than use your star drag to test your drag by using a spring scale. Hope this helps

I knew that already long time ago, but thanks. The issue here is, even if you set the drag to the maximum, the spool still releases. When I disassembled it, I found out later on that some of the washers were not in place properly and that there was excessive grease in the carbontex.

I have the same problem with my new Shimano OCEA Jigger F custom 1500HG…

I found the problem I made a really stupid mistake. I put the line on not tight enough…

Master nag me-maintenance po ba kayo ng sarili nyong reel? if so. check nyo po yung Dalawang drag washers sa ilalim ng drag star. Ganto dapat orientation nila ( ) or )( . kapag po kse )) or (( di nyo po makukuha max drag ng reel kahit sobrang higpit po ng star drag. sana ma solve nyo po issue.

Pwedi cguro na isauli bai kay daghan man nag complained samilar issue. Lisod gyud pag luag ang drag labi na pag dako gyud mo strike.
