I worked at Yates, in the summer of 1990 and yes the description is correct, 8 on the bar and 400 thirsty customers all fighting to get a drink, it was so much fun 🍻🍻

Remember going in there when we kids, but couldn’t wait to get back to the amusements etc. I had a lovely breakfast in Albert and Lion when I went to Blackpool in the summer. Beneath the Harrowside Bridge at 3:31 is now a gym, a Blackpool Council storage area, and a separate car park / storage for local residents. I understand that at one time, the council's deckchairs were stored there out of season, and during the war, there was a hidden factory churning out parts for Hurricanes etc.

Happy memories of a stag-do in Blackpool in a packed Yates's about 30 years ago, great atmosphere but we decided to relocate to the counting house where it was easier to get served but was also packed - ended up in the disco in what was the Hilton hotel which is now the Grand hotel - happy days & great memories - I wonder if you were in Yates's Steve on that Saturday night all those years ago ? Keep up the great work mate from Dave in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Hi Steve, bought your calendar in Happy Dayz on way to the fireworks on Saturday night. 12 excellent fotos in there. My favourite foto is the drone foto of the Tower and North Pier with Black Combe and some of the Lake District mountains in the background. You picked the perfect day to take that foto. I love it when I can see the Lake District mountains. I also love the starlings over North Pier. Feeling dizzy under the Glitterball is a fantastic part of the Illuminations, another lovely foto, also the snow and the two fotos of unusual clouds. Great calendar, thank you Steve xxx

Getting bar service - that one of the best things about the apps that some pubs have these (Wetherspoons, Greene King, Stonegate etc). Having these means that you don't have to go to the bar and if you are in there on your own, you don't risk the possibility of losing your table.

Well, I made quite a name for myself as a photographer, helped quite a bit by winning the Royal Meteorological Society’s Weather Photographer of the Year in 2018 & going on to judge further competitions. I don't see what is so bad about that, and why I shouldn't be able to command a certain price for my photography works.
