I have a D5600, a D610, (all Nikons), all "big cameras with a lens". I also have a couple of Panasonics (m43 format, not their new S full framers). No, I'm not a professional, just a hobbiest, with an interest in low light photography, because low light seems to make coloured lights pop out more. But I did come up against this myself, when on holiday in the Netherlands visiting friends, I went to the big flower show there, and security accused me of being "professional" and wanted me to buy a permit for **VERY EXPENSIVE**, just because I had a removable lens camera and not a camera phone.

Wowsers. I’ve got a Nikon D850 and a Panasonic Lumix S5II, but I prefer the Nikon system as it just does what I tell it to, whereas the Panasonic seems to take over with electronics.

Give a person a highviz they're suddenly a law maker, Looked on google maps and the parking area is gert big so at £3 a day for parking is cheap and making lots of money, Liverpool was built on shipping and if you were stood by those great buildings up to the early 60's you would of heard the constant sound of ships horns 24/7, Funny seaports and trains were 24/7 way before someone came up with the term 24/7. backbone of the uk they were.

I was approached by the police when I took stills at our Christmas market in Newcastle a couple of years ago. They wanted to know what I was doing. I asked them to use their powers of observation to discover that. I was prepared for the forbidden photo routine, but they backed off. There is no restriction to filming or photography in or from a public place. Nobody except the order of an English court can demand you delete or hand over footage. Copyright rules apply to publishing Images, and of course photographers need to exercise respect when doing so.

Thanks Stephen. Liverpool has been undergoing a massive refurbishment for some years now, lots of new buildings going up with apartments etc as well as converting older industrial buildings into homes, trouble is after a few years those sort of massive areas with high rises etc end up like shit holes with high crime and vandalism. When will they ever learn that cramming people into blocks of flats and apartments is not a good idea. It's okay for the people that come up with these ideas because they live behind security fencing in massive houses with massive gardens way out in the sticks.
@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool19 сағат бұрын
I think I can see some parts of Blackpool going that way. The Foxhall development is one which may go downhill after a decade or so. I would not buy a property there, and instead invest in one of the other areas of improvement, such as Layton or Mereside.
