Think Shug is a bit confused. Jock was in charge of the 4-4 game. Souness's first was Glasgow Cup Final when we won 3-2. Friday night, extra time, McCoist hat-trick.

I think around the time Shug played under Souness there must have been injuries. I am sure even Dougie Bell got a game or two around that time. Must have been about November/December 1986

Brilliant player, Hugh could have played right back during Souness first season no bother. Remember my late dad, praising Hugh's performances for the Gers in the mid 80s. Hugh should have played 86/87, he was better than Jimmy Nichol
