@@grujose551 It isn't flat. He just has a lower vocal range which means his voice doesn't change much when he goes higher or lower with it. He has perfect technique. That is quite common for Broadway performers as that helps with maintaining the illusion of that character singing. You always hear his actual voice tone instead of a pitched tone. Someone who might not listen to broadway or does not know that much about singing in general may feel it is flat but it isn't. It is just another way of singing.

As a circus artist in training, and as someone who heard this song for the first time at the ending performance of the very first show she was visiting in her whole life, this just has so much emotional value to me. Whenever I hear this song, it gives me goosebumps. It gives me the motivation to train hard enough to become a famous performer one day (Cirque du Soleil would be my absolute dream when it comes to circus performances. As a dancer, which I'm also doing btw, my dream would be to become a member of the Flying Steps). And it throws me back to my first time hearing it at this one show which I loved so much. I remember how I sat in the audience and was completely mesmerized. I couldn't stop smiling, it was just so great! So many things going on on stage. The song started and in the blink of an eye the stage filled with people. The whole cast of this show was on stage at the same time. I remember all the lights, all the crazy stuff they did (why cross the stage normally when you can instead flick flack from one side to the other?), how you could feel the beat of the song with your whole body. Once I learned the lyrics, I kept singing along everytime I went to see the show. I sang almost louder than the speakers and I didn't hit any note. At that point, I wasn't singing anymore, I was just screaming the lyrics on top of my lungs. And I remember how, as soon as the curtains closed, I made my way out and rushed to the back entrance to wait for the artists (I'm still in contact with some of them). Especially one of them, she's a Flying Steps dancer, used to meet up with me after the show everytime. She's great! One of my biggest inspirations... I miss her! I'll see her again when the show comes back on February 23rd next year. I hope they didn't change the program. I want this to stay the last song of the show.

He is a talented person, has skilled and determined acting that I loved to watch. I am a bit confused and angered by his deception however to reveal his true self. I, for one, do not indulge in actors/actresses that are one sex and claim to be another to steal my funds at the box office by deception of who they truly are. I understand the frustrations of being born a sex that seems to be inconvenient through childhood for many reasons but appreciate who I am and expect others to do the same that want to influence their audience otherwise it is a waste of my money. Take Benny Hinn for example, he knew how to lead a huge crowd, get them to praise God in song and worship (it was not him doing it but the people of God) then he would take credit for what God would do and take whatever the people gave him as his own. He did not want others to know his secrets, God's exact word from what I observed. He has his mansion on earth, hope he enjoys it, he is a deception artist as I have discovered Jackman to possibly be along with many many others that should accept who they are at birth and appreciate that. There are fine lines actor/actresses should not cross. We have the right to know what we are paying for.

Music-wise it probably deserved to (especially because of This Is Me) or maybe it could've gotten some technical award. But writing-wise it's really... nothing special, actually it's sub-par compared with other musicals. And I'm speaking as a big fan, but the strong point of this movie is the music and dancing (and of course Hugh Jackman being a real giant in terms of artistry and showmanship), and that's it. I do guess that in musicals that's sort of what's important, but compared to every other type of movie it doesn't have many good things going on. I mean, even Moulin Rouge got barely anything at the Oscars, and it was huge when it came out. I do think musicals get snubbed a lot though.
