Apparently she didn't want to! I looked it up because I couldn't imagine why she wasn't, and I found this: Allred may not be a Hollywood heavyweight, but she once had a taste of the spotlight during her stint on NBC’s vocal competition, where she joined “Team Adam” and competed in the finals of "The Voice." “It was an amazing experience, but for an introverted person it was mentally exhausting, just high anxiety all the time,” Allred said, describing feelings of being “picked apart” during the show. The producers said she didn’t act bubbly enough, and she felt she didn’t fit the persona they had in mind for her. “I started to feel like something was wrong with me, and I longed for a regular life again. The part I played in ‘The Greatest Showman,’” she said, struggling to fight back emotion, “is on my terms, and it actually is … enough, you know?”

In my opinion this is even greater than the recorded version for the film. She not only did an incredible job for the film but then does this and completely surpasses it. I absolutely love when an artist can do that, much like Pearl Jam and “black” in their unplugged version it resonates so much more than the album version. What Loren did here was exactly that surpassing her own self in such an incredible way
@chrismartin5870 Жыл бұрын
The film version puts the song first, which is how the writers wanted it. This is her putting herself first.....which wasn't allowed in the film.

Many singers can hit notes. What I believe sets her apart is her insane intonation and attention to detail. Every note delivered was clear and given its fullest value. It is definitely her song. Absolutely incomparable if sung by anyone else…. Your gifts are truly world class!
