I like How Butcher in the first clip views himself as "not quite" Jesus Christ. While you have Homelander literally referring too himself as a "God". Really shows how Butcher has kept his sanity throughout these battles, meanwhile Homelander has always been fucking insane.

It’s like the whole “Batman doesn’t kill” rule which separates him from his enemies. While Butcher has definitely killed people, as you said, his sanity levels are a couple of points ahead of Homelander’s. He’s trying to stay focused on the game.

@@Adontheimperfectionist Oh, I agree, lol, but love and respect are two different things. Hughie is less of a "bro" and more of a "that inoffensive kid you babysit after school" to Butcher, lol. They lean overly hard and overly frequently into the Butcher's past thing to justify Hughie's existance in the show and group, but he doesn't really lend anything to a friendship or the show except whining, weakness, whining, and liability 😅. A REAL bro would take IIIINNNNFINITELY more issue with the fact that there was even a CHANCE they might be an anchor on a good friend......Hughie? Hughie is weak and stupid and only cares about his own emotions lol. Very much a "Fredo" (The Godfather) character 😆.
