I've been a professional technician for just over 6 years, and Tesa adhesive (black tape) is the best I've come across, aside from 3m VHB. @@Xilog Then I dont see the reason for a normal user to custom rom it, samsung gave 3 years of major updates and security updates upcoming. they did their job well. Atleast their devices are repairable and bootloaders can be unlocked, i have seen companies that are worse.

@@RandomGuy-om1vy that's true. Also, the bootloaders are locked on US models.

@@Xilog hmm yeah i wish they allowed to do that officially but since next galaxy is going to feature exynos everywhere i think that might be fixed.

I can certainly understand someone's frustration with modern technology. This morning, after a good night's sleep, I managed to set up my bluetooth headphones without a hitch. Also I restored my Apple 7 phone that had gone dark. Very simple in the end once I knew what I was looking for. Being only partially sighted and 66 means technology can be both a help and a curse. From having no phone at all, I now have 4 iphones, all working perfectly in good condition.. My favourite being the Apple 6S as the screen is big.

As a galaxy s10 + owner I am sad to see someone drilling a hole trough this beautiful device. Yeah it isn't the fastest anymore but it still works better and faster than my S7 when it was this age. Have my s10 + for over 2 years and still love it.

Pro tip : don't lock the bootloader before flashing , you could have turn on frp , and the worst scenario is that the phone had a custom recovery .. it's done , the phone boots to recovery to wipe everything before locking. And it won't work because you have a custom recovery , so the phone will stay looping to recovery without wiping anything . And there is no way to flash the stock recovery if you're locked .... Happened with me with a pixel 2xl and i got no way around it.

Custom ROM user here. I think the first and second rule of rooting/installing a custom ROM is to have patience and to have backups. The original owner didn't seem to follow these two rules.

worst thing you could have is hard-brick or losing sensitive data (like IMEI)

It's fascinating how much this phone looks like the newer Pixels in terms of the interior design: one-piece motherboard running down one side, battery occupying the other space, and cameras horizontally placed near the top but with the board running around it...Ik Samsung moved on from this design from the S20 but we might know where Google found the design

I love your videos of people doing REALLY dumb stuff to their phone.

5:56 I really hope that person isn't in a relationship. Like technology frustrates me all the time but to put a drill through a device?? Thats messed up 😐😐😰😰

Just finished you Iphone 11 pro max repair and what a difference in the amount of screws and glue vs Samsung, also the relative ease you got in and finished repairs. Not to mention your repairs on the school Airs and trash iMac.
