This is the only platinum I have seen at multiple stores on multiple days, just kinda sitting there. Only got him because after the 4th time I thought what are the odds they give us another Hugo Strange. i still think making Platinum's alternate characters is the dumbest thing ever, even the ones that are just repaints. It just feels like their just saying whatever just to get more characters out there while doing the bare minimum and making it a headache for those that want them.

I just don't care about Hugo Strange in a Batman outfit. I would more likely pick him up if he were in a suit and lab coat but probably not even then. 🤷🏽‍♂️

As someone who reviewed this figure, I wish mcfarlane used the knightfall body, because an easily removable head is what this figure needs.

The Platinum Chase concept, as it stands now in my opinion, is going to continue making collecting challenging. I understand why McFarlane Toys would create unique Platinum editions for certain characters, like Hugo Strange, the Ventriloquist (I know there are few figures of those characters), or Anarky. I can see them doing limited runs since these characters are a bit more obscure. However, I find it difficult to understand why The Question would be placed in that category. He had a memorable run on *Justice League Unlimited*, and I could see him having both a standard and Platinum release. Honestly, they could have even given him a cloth jacket for a Collector's Edition. Or fit not that, the Digital Line, in which I wish that one was different all together lol.

I got this more to switch the cape with him and Adam west Batman. I like it’s a different bat logo and the mask accessory. I wish the head had separate neck and head.

Never have I thought Hugo Strange is a menace in terms of smarts and skills because that Bruce Wayne mask looks so very creepy when is taken off but while I don't really care for this figure he looks really good, Awesome review Jason.

I'm glad you addressed the cape. My first thought was it's just right for Adam West, whose cape was way too long. Which is very frustrating m I need to make a custom cape for my Adam West m

That costume's shade of blue and gray would look great on Knightfall since the SDCC version was not easy to get. Having a figure of Hugo Strange is a bit of a surprise, and the head sculpt along with the corrupted chest logo are uncomfortably cool.

This Hugo strange head is really good but I'm annoyed it came with a Batman. I'm waiting for the eventual labcoat release

How do they determine which ones get the Platinum chase treatment? I get doing it for the obscure characters to a degree because You don't want a surplus of say ,The Question ( personally I think he is dope) and this particular Hugo Strange ( Since it is a mixed up deep cut), wouldn't these have benefited from being Collector's Editions? (Though Maybe not so much Question unless you really kit him with hands, Cloth goods wired Jacket, and maybe some other accessories. But this hugo strange more than likely could of been one. Maybe more so in a suited body.

Is there any scientist action figure bodies that could fit well with Doctor strange I want him but I want the head, I’m not sure if we have any similar doctor outfits like the Arkham city strange

Unfortunately because of the way this figure is articulated, the only other figures this set is compatible with that I didn't swap are Three Jokers, Detective Comics 27, and the battle damaged rebirth from Dark Knights Death Metal a few years ago.

good review, interesting charactere but not on my list, still on the hunt for ML What if....? pegwarmers, first to finish Hydra Stomper mk 2 and after that The Watcher (without one leg) and than back to McFarlane

A platinum edition and the cape is botched? This is just embarrassing. I wish people would stop paying for this crap. Todd gets away with shoveling this undercooked, shameless reuse for a premium price because people keep buying them. He has no incentive to take his time and focus on quality over quantity - I mean other than dignity and wanting to make a genuinely good product, but it's clear Todd stopped valuing either of those things over money a long time ago.
