maybe he was brought up with americans, I'm maori, just maori, both parents maori.. and I've been surrounded by americans my whole life, 50% of my friends/family are americans. My friend married an american, I have an american girlfriend, my brother dated an american lol, and yes my accent is a little different than most maori's, kiwis at that.
