Mounting a Huina 1573/Toprace TR-212 body onto a WPL 6x6 chassis. Just a memory video for myself but if it helps others then all good.

So glad I ran across this video I had just purchased this TR 212 top race truck knowing what its capabilities was because I had bought it one time before and gave it to my grandson for her birthday. How about the second tr212 to try to upgrade and just received it yesterday it just so happens that I also had recently purchased the very same inexpensive transporter that you are using in the video to upgrade this made for pavement only truck. Like you said if a person wants a decent RC vehicle you have to do what you can and use your imagination sometimes to upgrade and at least get proportional controls thanks for the idea great video

I have a 1573 and to be honest it does need modifying especially the ground clearance. I like what you have done so far and I can't wait to see it once it's done. Thanks for sharing 😉👍

Really interesting video. I just received my 1573 in the mail and it really leaves a lot to be desired as far as the suspension is concerned. I’m pretty sure this KO’d is going to be one I’ll be trying out in the near future.

Hi, thanks for watching. The chassis is a WPL 6X6 from AliExpress and comes complete with running gear, either a 130 or 180 motor ( can't remember which), wheels etc. The hardest part I'm finding is fitting the cab and tipper body onto the chassis, that's still a work in progress. Inside your Cab there are 4 large steel weights, what some guys do is remove 3 of those and leave one in. They say it helps with the traction.

Hi, nice video, I like it, I have 2 dump trucks Huina and I’m thinking to modify them, question, are you using the same control and receiver?

I’m doing nearly the same thing as you. Well kinda, I’m using wheels and axles rom a wok. Making the frame and mounting everything else where I want it. Thinking about making it a tipper cab to access the motor like the 1:1

Hi mate, great video. I have a question. I have a top race excavator (1580 I think) anyway, I'm after a tamiya low loader with trailer and motorised ramps but the Mrs is having none of yet (yes correct I'm not a millionaire), so, if I got one of those, removed the skip from the back, buy a tamiya hitch plate, couple of other odds and ends, chrome mirrors, roof spoiler, nicer mud guards, that wouldn't be too difficult would it ??? I'm quite good at fidgeting about with things, now, do u think I'd be able to extend the wire, have a connection at the back of the cab, and somehow use that piston to operate my motorised ramps??? Thanks John.

Hi John, this is where I got my chassis.. a.aliexpress.com/_uxHwrY With regards to the trailer, I'm not sure as there is quite a difference in scale. The Tamiya are 1/14 scale and these are quite a bit smaller. Sorry I'm not any help on your question. I know some folk have converted Bruder trucks to this chassis and they are 1/14 scale. Search for Bruder RC Conversion and you may get the answers you are looking for.
@johnthegodfatherslack3 жыл бұрын
@@GP-RC yeah I've seen the bruder trailers, but surely 1:14 is 1:14 across the board isn't it? Dimensions should all be very similar.
@GP-RC3 жыл бұрын
@@johnthegodfatherslack that's what it should be like but sadly not. The 1580 excavator is advertised as 1/14 but it's more 1/18- ish. The Tipper is also stated as 1/14 but next to my 1/14 tamiya scania it's a lot smaller. If I get the chance later on after work, i'll try and do a size comparison video.

Hi, not yet. Life has been hectic lately. I have fitted a linear actuator to tip the dump bed. I'm on the second one as the first wasn't strong enough to lift any weight. Hopefully I'll get back to it after christmas time. It will get done 😀. I've got all the black plastic parts off just now ready for painting ( Cat Yellow )

Awesome, thanks for watching. The wpl 6x6 chassis is great for these kind of builds. It takes me quite a while to figure out how to make things fit where they are not designed to fit 😅 but i'll get there eventually.
