just a heads up to anyone worried about the wavy lines. i had them just as bad as Brad but huion has actually sent out a firmware update that completely fixed the issue for me. i assume this will probably fix it for the 12 pro too. just to note a firmware update is different to just updating the drivers, im not sure where you can freely download the update but if you email huion they'll send you a link.

I had pre-ordered this back in July 2018 for only 270$, this is my very first tablet display, and WOW am i amazed, my art leveled up so fast using this The display is amazing As for squiggly lines issue, u must enable administrator privileges on the software they provide, it helped for me , if it continues; try using smoothing/correction

I'm so glad other companies are finally making decent tablet displays. $1,000 for a Cintiq Pro 13 and an extra $80 for side buttons! Not to mention the faulty drivers, unresponsive remote, and limited tilt angles. People have to sell a kidney just to make art, and that's ridiculous. Huion seems to be improving their products aggressively and listening to what artists want, and offering reasonable prices, so I'm definitely inclined to try some of their products.

Sometimes, connecting this tablet to your computer will make your Photoshop and sometimes your whole computer freeze. And then after fiddling with the driver software you realize that disabling Windows Ink fixes it. But that comes at the cost of losing pressure sensitivity. If that ever happens to you, do the following: Create a text file in a text editor such as Notepad. Type in the following lines: # Use WinTab UseSystemStylus 0 Save the file as a plain text file named PSUserConfig.txt, and save the file into the Photoshop settings folder: C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 201*\Adobe Photoshop CC 201* Settings\ And your pressure sensitivity should be back with absolutely no lag or freezing. Hope this helps people out there. Huion is a really great brand.

Please keep us updated here on any driver improvements and updates. The thing that worries me is how quickly these Chinese manufacturers keep on updating their product line. Is your product going to become unsupported with updates and become worthless on the used market within 6 months? At least you know a wacom is going to hold it's value and remain supported for 5 to 10 years.

With as many valid gripes people have with Wacom, their commitment to continued support for devices that have been discontinued for years is commendable. It's how I was able to keep using my Intuos3 reliably for nearly ten years, from Windows XP all the way to Windows 10!

I can't talk for all their devices but I'm a +10 years wacom user too but around 2012, I've bought a Huion H610 Pro and it still works flawlessly. And about a month or two ago I've bought a Xp-pen Deco 03 and so far, I can't complain. It's not the best tablet I ever use but definitely not bad. TD;DR : I think Huion at least is doing a great job keeping my +10 year tablet alive. (P.S: The 3 tablets also works quite well together on the same computer , I have no driver issue in a very long time expect a bit in the beginning).

@@GrumpBurger So the short answer is: there is a little bit of wavy line if you draw really slowly, but not enough for me to return it. At my normal drawing speed, there's virtually no wavy lines and it works just fine (although it may vary depending on the manufacturing standards... hope you can get a good one!) I actually got a couple of discounts on Amazon and I think this screen is pretty good value for what I paid ($269). My main issue with it is that the calibration software is NOT accurate. The default calibration works better for me at this time (but I have read others complain that their tablets did not come with a good default calibration), and I do hope that Huion will address this issue to help minimize parallax near the edges of the screen. I think I am going to keep this tablet until I can get an actual Wacom because parallax and wavy lines are an issue to some degree on all 3rd party screen tablets, but this one is probably the best value for ~$300.

I've loved this tablet so much - I've used it for two years on my old computer and it was glorious. I then got a newer pc that supported the Adobe programs and when I set everything up I also installed the Huion again. My whole pc crashed and couldn't be restored with all its data lost. I don't know what happened, but the Huion Support was very apathetic about this. I didn't get any support and not even a single cent to overcome the loss of data, time and money I had to spent to repair my pc :( Since that I've never touched a Huion again

If you press the screen settings button instead of holding it in you can change the touch bar to change from zoom, scroll and brush size. I alternate between all 3 settings all the time when drawing.

I had no problems with wiggles on the lines, not even drawing pretty slow (didn’t test with ruler though) but one issue was the color calibration was a bit green/blue if you could make a “tutorial for proper colors” it could be amazing D: (Mac user) and mine didn’t came with a glove :c

Wavy lines happens in all screen tablets as some have discovered. Even if it's individual of the computer and brand of screen tablet, it is a problem with some form of bottlenecking when processing the strokes. In one case a user experienced it with a low limit of their Photoshop RAM useage, but upon increasing the amount of RAM photoshop can take advantage of, the issue disappeared. Meanwhile someone else had problems with their new GTX1080 (when those were new) interferering with the processing "somehow" (I forgot the article). What I took from the solutions it's usually not the tablets own fault. While it can sometimes be a tablet driver issue, it can just as well be an issue with another piece of hardware driver. I've seen wobbles with ALL of the leading tablet brands. Hopefully they'll be resolved in the next generation of tablets, but if not it might be time to upgrade your system. That said, some newer computer setups might have problems your old ones doesn't. Which just begs the question if these people know what the heck they're even doing.

Interesting that you mentioned the pen jitter. That is also the reason why I love watching your reviews. You are very thorough. I watched a couple other reviews on this tablet that didn’t report such a big jitter. I am not really sure that I want to go for a 13 inch anyway I‘d rather have a 15 or one of the big ones but I still consider. But as for you I need crisp lines so this would be a deal breaker as well :)

Ok, now I have a big problem, I guess. I never used display tablets before, so I have no experience in such a thing, just in intuous like most of the people. So, the problem is that this tablet has the same price as an xp-pen 15.6, i watched almost 3 hours reviews with both of them, I read some comments and I don't know what to choose. Personally, I would choose the Kamvas 13 pro, but there is this discussion about the wobble lines which holds me back. Some people said that the problem was recently fixed, can someone reliable to confirm? If not, what would you choose? Thanks a lot guys for helping.

i am stoked to see cintiq alts implementing some of the features favored by wacom, such as the reduced parallax and tilt. tilt is one of those things where i don't notice it until it's gone, as many brushes i own and make utilize it in some way. it tends to be very subtle and only on certain tools but really makes drawing/painting in certain media feel more true to life. if i were in the market, those negatives may be stopping me from getting it, but i am optimistic that their next generation of these displays are going to be on point.

First of all... Your work is whimsical and very good. But more over, I've watched several reviews for this tablet. There's an online artist who's work I admire from Australia. However, he's loved huion for so long, I didn't realize his review was honest yet a tad bias. It wasn't until the videos from you and Lawrence Mann that I learned about the pen wobble and the fix among other things and I truly appreciate it. If you had to recommend between the kamvas pro 13 and the 156hd v2 would you suggest one?. Just want to tell people who are interested in the tablet. There is a big offset which is a bit offputting. The screen is a bit difficult to be working with. It's better to use this tablet without the screen but then you could just as well buy one of the cheaper models. I don't recommend buying it until Huion fix the offset issue which is crucial for a tablet with a screen since otherwise there is no point in having the screen.

excuse me sir, if i may to ask question, im planning to do pixel art for game development , some sketches and drawings and by looking at your vids, surface pro 4 and artisul 13 and 16 , and this caught my attention. while surface 5 and 6 out of my budget reach i want the surface pro 4 because its a full blown computer and you can also use it as a work device but when drawing it has wobbly line , while artisul got a clean one, and this one is just..kinda nice. plus if i bought the drawing tablet i kinda got a second screen which is nice which are recommended for the one i mentioned especially for pixel art? i know pixel art is just kinda placing 'blocks' but i also want to study some digital drawings as well im jsut confused since soo many drawing tablets are released thank you !

Besides that thing about the lines that I guess are now fixed I also want to add something: You CAN change the size of the brush with that slider thingy on the side. You switch the functionality with the bottom button. Idk if this is something you didn't have though, maybe that and the wobbly lines was something they added on more recent updates. @@RicardoSilva-ln7lm when I made that comment I was just speaking from what I knew from watching all the other reviews about the tablet. Yesterday however, I received mine! It's not this one though, it's an even newer 12 inch version, but they're pretty much the same thing. I bought this slightly smaller one because it was with its first price of 260€... I didn't even think twice.. (I had to pay 130€ more because my country is fucking stupid, but that's besides the point.. And still, this thing is worth even more so it's fine). I haven't tried it yet, I connected it and installed the driver, it worked correctly and was super easy so there's no problems there at least. I will mess around with it tonight so if you want to know about the wobbly lines I can test that (I did a few strokes on photoshop when I opened it to see if it was working with the pen and everything looked fine, but I need to actually test it properly and slowly). It might be different from the 13inch one though when it comes to the lines so mine might work (or not) and if you decide to get the one in the video you could get different results... One thing I can tell you though... It's fucking beautiful and the build quality is amazing, it's even better than what I thought and the screen quality and colors are amazing as well (the reviews are not lying when they say this might be the BEST tablet out there for the price).. I have a hard time believing even wacom's tablets are that much better for 1k€..

Owned the Pro 13 for about half a year now. Some major drawbacks I've noticed: 1) Pretty distinctive offset even after updating the firmware of driver to correct the issue. It bothers me so much to the point I blessedly appreciate the accuracy of the Pro 22, which I understand- you get what you pay for. BUT it also seems to fall behind for me since I've had played around with a 2002 Motion Computing Tablet PC, and it had a MUCH better parallax than the Pro 13. Huion claim it's a laminated display but ehh... Can't say I'm too impressed with this one. 2) The battery runs hot after 10-15 minutes of continuous usage. You will need to give it a rest every moment or so. 3) It will not run properly with PS CS6 for quite a few people, including myself. I've encountered jumping lines while drawing and having my cursor way off the mark. Other programs will be fine. 4) Those 3 in 1 cables do not last long for some people, even in the best shape. Some will stop working all together out of nowhere. The cable is $50-$45 to replace. If you lose a connection with your Pro 13, most likely the monitor itself is fine, it's the damn defective cables they keep churning out. 5) Want to extend your display instead of mirroring? You may get lucky and have no issue OR your rip your hair out trying to calibrate it correctly and get the cursor to match properly. Just don't be me and hit Administrator Privileges before hitting the settings you want (not Windows Administrator Privileges, but Huion 's Administrator Privileges in the driver application) and it should apply. Huion often discounts this tablet for a fairly low price. That's what drew me into getting it and giving it a shot as I wanted something on the go paired with my laptop while I have the Pro 22 stationed at home. I think it's like $265 usd atm which is a steal. It's great for beginners or anyone moving away from old tablets so anyone should knock it out. For me, it does the job despite having some erks here and there. But I definitely see a noticeable performance gap between Huion's higher end and budget pen displays. It shows all too much and makes me conclude that I would not mind dishing out more for a better quality product.

Yes, it comes with an anti-smudge glove that covers your pinkie and thumb. I personally don't use it all that much because the screen is matte. And no, the tablet only responds to the stylus- not to touch.

I have got me presale tablet sitting nicely on the table, I wish they add a snap on the feature for where you put the tablet on the stand. Dropped it twice when the tablet just slid off the ledge, strange that they cut space there. The stand itself is a fine little-included feature, but if everythign could snap/hold itself in place. That would be nice.

u said it Initial activation force was on the high side, and then it improved and came down. Did it come down to the IAF in wacom cintiq displays, that's 1 gram feather touch.

Haven't had trouble with the wavy lines but im having other raging problems with the kamvas 13. Everything would be going fine and then suddenly the cursor would appear in the wrong place and draw a line 10cm from where the pen is

I think the straight line thing isn't a big deal at all if you increase your line smoothing in PS?

Hey Brad. How did you get it to calibrate. I've been trying for days and it's so off, I can't draw anything accurate. Tried updating drivers, restoring default, etc. I'm on a windows.

Mine didn’t come with an assist glove. So I was wondering if it would work to simply cut a piece of cloth into a little sack and use it as a glove. lol I was asking you because your the pro! Also artists that are fans can reply to try and help me lol
