One annoying thing about the Apple Pen is that you need to keep it minimally charged at all times. I let mine stand idle for a few months and now it cannot be charged and no longer works

It would be nice if they had a case that the ipad mini sits in flush with, so there's more surface area for my hand to rest on. I don't really like my hand being on the edge all the time like that since my nerve will irritate from it after a short while.

On XPpen tab you can set an offset to compensate for the nit pick noted in video.

Ordered mine today. Can't wait to get my hands on it. I use it mostly for sketching. I am not much of an artist. I use it for illustrations and technical drawings.

I've been a digital artist for quite awhile now, I've been doing it on a phone using my fingers, so i think starting with a drawing tablet without the built in screen is going to be hard. Just like typing, i still can't type properly without looking at the keyboard

Purchased the px13 only to find the pen was activating before it touched the screen. I tried the asus pen 2.0 and also the microsoft slim pen 2... both had the issue. I made sure all updates and drivers, bios, etc., were done before testing. I don't know if this was an issue just with my px13, but with all of them. Either way, I returned it. I had a lot of hopes for this device! The size and weight was amazing.

Im currently on a wacom intuous (medium) non screen tablet, I'm not sure whether I should either upgrade to a better tablet (EX: Wacom one, cintique pro 16, etc),or a bigger non screen tablet, or just get an iPad. I work on a webcomic, use CSP, and overall just want to upgrade my drawing expereince. The iPad does seem like a good option though Im not sure if drawing on ipad will feel the same as drawing on a regular plain old art tablet. Can you give some advice ?

I've been looking for alternatives to Adobe software for the last few years, but, as a professional motion designer, the one that's still irreplaceable is After Effects (and it kinda angers me). The emphasis on the video was VFX/compositing in AE, and yes, we have A TON of software that does a lot better than AE in this field, but not for motion graphics. It has so much powerful and flexible tools, workflows, scripts and extensions for complex animation. It's not creativity limiting at all. Other tools like Calvary, DaVinci's Fusion etc are getting more and more promising indeed, but if you compare to what you're capable of doing inside AE, they still have a very long way to go.

I bought the large samsung s8 ultra when it came out but found I was still reaching for my basic ipad,since then I bought the ipad pro earlier this year and it may just be I favour the procreate app,but I hardly use s8 ultra,the pen for ipad I find much easier to use and I bought a magnetic drawing screen from amazon that just pulls off easily for regular use.I think ipad is one of the best inventions ever,although I can't imagine life without a mobile phone.

Loved the interview! I think the way you approached the questions as an artist as well with a specific task in mind (colouring some pages of your story) is really clever as well since it both specifies common questions and demonstrates the knowledge. Personally I feel interviews are greater in longer formats so that we can hear more of the guest speaker speak. Longer content feels like we get more value since it's a special opportunity, it feels like the more time spent with the guest the valuable info we get. Obviously there needs to be a balance but if the content/ amount of interview material goes over 15-20 minutes, my advice is don't shy away from it. Heck, if you get 30-40 minutes of awesome material and you think it's all awesome, then include it as well! All of this to say- definitely more please! You make a great interviewer

So many laptop reviews are from a numbers and features prescriptive. Really great to see something from a UX perspective. Would've wanted more in regards to copilot advantages or not.

I've had major trouble with pen alignment, with XP Pen monitors in the past. Has anyone had any trouble with that on this model? I'm tied between this and the Kamvas 19 Pro. Around the same price right now w black Friday prices, but this has a larger screen and the wheel on the pen I prefer.

An art program I wouldn’t recommend is iArtbook it’s one of the only and BEST programs I’ve used it’s super easy to understand and when on the app I would recommend double tap the brush icon and scroll down to the hair pack and use the eyelash brush it makes really good line art and when sketching go to pencils and click on the third brush. Hope this helps you start digital art 😊! ALSO THE APP IS FREE and there’s a premium version and without it you get ads once and a wile😕.
