The problem you mention in 5:40 is actually a problem in how WIndows handles touch inputs not so much on Huion's side. By default it sets your touch inputs to the primary monitor. Sometimes when you plug multiple monitor, Windows (or your GPU driver) changes which one is going to be the primary monitor, this resets the touch input configuration to that one. To fix it you need to go to the Full Control Panel, there should be a tab for Tablet PC Settings, in the next window there should be a button at the top to set which monitor you decide to use for touch inputs, just follow the instructions on the display and you are good to go. Sadly there is no way to just always keep the setting for a fix monitor. If you connect and disconnect monitors often, Windows display management sometimes resets the order of your monitors and you have to go through the process again. I made that settings a direct access on my desktop because of it, i tend to unplug my tablet from my PC often since i dont use it much outside of drawing, so dont want to just waste power on a monitor that stays idle. But sometimes when plugging the tablet back on my PC, it swaps inputs again and its annoying :(

This is *really* tempting. Not in my budget right now, but soemthing to strive for - the reason I go to my ipad first and not my current XP Pen drawing monitor is simply because the ipad has touch controls, and the only other option till recently was Wacom, and here in Canada, the 16 Pro starts at $2200, so....Hello Huion!

This is absolutely lovely, that these sizes are being produced. I still have my preference on 22 -24" tablets (mostly the latter), but IMO, this is so much better than 16 or 17. I know, portability. But I tend to prefer to have to move things around even if heavy, and adjust/organize space and stuff if needed, but being able to draw and paint so comfortably is so much worth it for me. I have a 22 Huion (my main work horses are a Wacom XL and L pen tablets (love them! so much control), tho, as I don't really need a pen display) and still would prefer a 24", but it's very close to my ideal pen display size. Like... in my younger years, I was kind of OK carrying around on the street a 1.5 meters wide canvas, the heavy easel, the bag full of oils and stuff... So, a 22 inches digital tablet in a backpack with a laptop is nothing... Although, imo, 19" - 24" (or bigger) is a tablet size to move around your home, as much (or occasional moving houses), usually stationary on a desktop, but that you can easily move around if guests come home, or feel in the mood of changing for a while your work spot/studio, etc. This 19 looks fantastic in so many departments. Made me interested in the 27" (didn't know Huion has now one of that size, will watch the review here, now). My worst worry tends to be line wobble/jitter with most non-wacom pens (and line accuracy, lag...), as I have made many deep and intensive tests with my Huion and Wacom products... But this one seems to be doing much better than usual. Glad that the line wobble issue of the 27" apparently was user (tester) based, a non issue (really appreciated the honesty and professionalism, that it was said here). One detail, though, I'd say some of us illustrators (some don't even realize, I know) do need Adobe RGB color space (or other wider gamut profiles, but this is the most used in pro illustration), specially as it ends up in richer prints (even if doing ourselves the conversion to CMYK, and even more the case if the print company is going to handle the conversion, done quite well these days, btw) and larger range, richer color in general. A 96% at least (of course, ideally 98 - 100%) of Adobe RGB is quite important when doing pro work in several fields, imo. It's not only due to print! Many consumer devices are using now very high quality OLED, QLED and etc screens, and they can see a ton more color tones than they could some years ago when sRGB was the only real option (heck, iPhone 1 one was sRGB only. But it's been a while since then...). That said, at least (of course, technical reviews heavily inclined to test color stuff might have the last word) in the Huion's site, this tablet's specs sheet says "Adobe RGB/98%" , so... *YAY!* . If it's 1k $, I'd say it is *very well priced* (edit: in my local country's Huion store site it says 1.2k euros, which is quite more than 1k USD. Still, for the specs, fine. I'll wait for a newer 24" at this price, tho) , if it provides that. As far as I can recall, the Cintiq "non-pro" costs this and it's sRGB only!, and way lower resolution. BUT...of course, there's still the superior wacom pen (IMO and from certain deep tests from certain channel in YT), but in practice, these two products might make a lot of sense. My Eizo screen costs more than that to provide (largely) that color space (well, and many pro details related to uniformity, etc, etc), so, quite an argument to convince a professional user. So, really a well rounded product, in my opinion. But again, made me specially interested in the 27, now that we know that the wobble thing of the 27 was not an issue. Or.. scratch that, looking at the 27's price ( -3k eu- Edit: Nope, my bad... is 2.2k euros. Much better price than Wacom's 3.8k , lol), -not much of a gain compared to getting just the real thing, a Cintiq Pro bigger than 17"- . Maybe I'll wait for the moment Huion (or XP-Pen) releases a 24 inches (my fav tablet size) with the new advances, as of this new gen of the Pro range it seems there's only the 19 and the 27.

Just wanted to add my experience with this tablet to the frey. I'm a concept artist working in the game industry and use a tablet 50+ hours a week, I was hoping that this would finally be the tablet to challenge Wacom's pro line, and it does except in one specific area for me personally. Everything was amazing about this, drawing experience is almost equivalent. IAF is slightly lower than Wacom, and Hover distance, but I ended up returning because the diffusion that the Anti Glare glass creates is to strong, thus severely blurring the image especially when looking at it from different angles. The strong AG does solve the issue of sparkle and chromatic aberration on light background images, but the softness is just a bit to much for my preference. All current generation tablets have this effect to some extent, but it was pretty noticeable on this one.
@CaptainCactuar
@CaptainCactuar 4 ай бұрын
Hello @@ben32829 I think this will be a preference thing. Some people don't notice the blur at all, the tablet itself is the best Huion has released, and is their best offering by far. But for me the screen diffusion is just a bit to much, I prefer the sharpest clarity, with as little sparkle or chromatic aberration as possible. For pure screen performance iPad is by far the best visual experience as they don't bother with an AG etched glass, but then you have the trade off of a smaller screen and some people don't like the feel of the pencil on the screen because of the smoothness, but you can purchase aftermarket nibs for the pencil now that take care of this. As for the best tablet that connects to a PC, I think for me it would be the Wacom Pro 22. It still does have a tiny bit of sparkle and diffusion resulting in a tiny bit of blur, but it is by far the best professional tablet currently. Xencelabs 24 pro is also very good, and slightly better blur than the Huion. Also I did speak with a certain manufacturer recently and they said they have a new product coming at the end of march that will be a first for the industry with an OLED panel. I'm going to wait before buying the Wacom, just to see how this one looks, it will be a 16" and around $1800.

Hello!@@lesnacke I unfortunately completely forgot to take photos before I packed it up and sent it back. As you pointed out and I mentioned in my previous comment, all AG etched glass will have blur diffusion to some extent. I think this tablet was more than that the latest pro line from Wacom, slightly more than the Wacom pro 16 from a few years ago, and maybe about the same as Xencelabs 24. Although the AG etched glass on this tablet has excellent sparkle reduction. Really again this will be a preference thing. Some people notice it, others don't mind, same with sparkle (chromatic abberation). I will say that the huion pro 19 is the best $1000 drawing tablet available (iPad is not counted here)

This looks amazing. Huion has really upped their game this year. I only wish they had one in a 15-16" size that could slip into a laptop bag for travel. The existing 16s are too wide for most bags, but moving the shortcuts to the external remote would probably narrow it enough to go in a bag. Also, why are the cables not right angle connectors 😆. If this is a desk display that needs wall power, they really should include adapters that don't stick out from the side like that. My dream Huion display would be very similar to this, 15.6", 1440p, multitouch, fully usb-c powered.

Objectively speaking - yes, the Kamvas Pro 19 is better. However, it all comes down to your individual needs - are some of your finer lines not registered (IAF), are you bothered by wobble, cursor offset, or the screen's grainy sparkle, are touch capabilities important to you, etc. For me these are a big deal, but I know a lot of people are perfectly happy with their Pro 24.

Mine works with one USB-C cable plugged into the graphics card. No extra power needed. I guess it depends on your card. I have the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000.

But if you compare this to wacom cintic pro 16 then? And also xp pens current competetor display? I need this pinned against other things to see if this is the one to get. The cintic 17 coost like 2500-3000 so no i cant afford that a comparison between wacom pro16 woul be better.

What’s parallax these days? I cut my tablet teeth on kamvas 5 years ago, then was able to upgrade to Wacom. I noticed the difference completely. Wondering about this though as a portable system for my other job using live graphics.

7:50 drivers can definitely fix bad wave issues. Ask anyone using a Wacom Cintiq 13HD on windows from 2013 to mid 2016.... years of being near useless without Lazy Nazumi in photoshop, and then pop; they fixed it with one release and it never came back.

For those who got the Kamvas 19 pro and the touch features register on a different monitor: (For Win11) Control panel > Hardware and Sound > Tablet PC Settings > Choose your display (Kamvas 19 pro) from the window dropdown menu > Click setup > Calibrate after setup if needed

I'm a Mac user, ...if I can't get the touch features that the Windows users get, then I can't justify paying over $1000 if I'm not getting all the same "bells & Whistles". Until they can update their software, I would go with something else.

Looks from the footage like you were having some issues with the touch-enabled part of the tablet. I personally don't like tablets that are touch-enabled for just that reason.

I have been WAITING for a size like this to take with me on the road because frankly, my laptop has the same size display as a 16" drawing tablet, and it's really just not big enough. But my 24" display is a beast to lug around, or even to use sitting on the couch. Thanks for this review! This may just hit the sweet spot! Now if only they'd make it into a pen computer! I guess I just want it all. >_

I have a Wacom 22 HD pen in touch. I also have a 2018 iPad Pro 12.9. I love this product. I have been waiting on the review for this too. I am very disappointed that the touch does not work with the iMac 🖥️. That’s the dealbreaker for me. I have been waiting to see if Apple is going to come out with a larger iPad. There was a Rumors of a 14 inch or a 16 inch. I would definitely purchase one of those because the pinch and zoom on the iPads are unparalleled. I have said if Apple does not make a larger iPad, and I could find a drawing tablet with a pinch and zoom close to the Apple pinch and zoom that would be the selling point.

Their 16k is sonething like 4k on wacom. Anyway they are different. Some old 2k tablets from wacom still fine, but huion or xp-pen they are not that great irl like their specs. But some are better, for example screen "clarity", on wacom its worse.
