Funny thing is, I saw this tablet sold on ebay last week. The seller said it was a review unit and is selling it because he finished reviewing it. There were not many people bidding hence i managed to grab it for just around usd$80. The tablet just arrived today. Everything seem new n good but i m still testing it. The main drawback i seen so far is the UI left much to be desired (i m used to samsung UI) , and i doubt there will be any update support in the future. Other than that i think this is a pretty darn good deal for $80 if I must say so myself. Worst case scenario, my 5yo daughter would be happy to have this for youtube kid

Damn, I was looking for one as well. I was made aware of this tablet this week, I would've snatched it up if you hadn't if I was aware of it haha. Mind updating this comment on the pros and cons of this tablet? Not a lot of reviews. I've been studying art for 2 years on a GAOMON PD156PRO,but I'm looking for a more portable solution to not be at my desk all the time. The XP Pen Magic Drawing Pad is out of my price range and I'm not aware of any other tablets that have pen support, laminated displays, etc at this price point. I'm well aware of the wobble issue, slightly worrying as I draw without smoothing and the USI pen and charging is a major flaw. Tell me how it is if you don't mind in a few weeks.

@sasminmahmutovic246 haha it was such a steal that i find it hard to pass lol. I can share u my experience so far I had used the tablet for some sketching and concept arts and so far I can say that the drawing experience is pretty good. I am not too bothered by the line wobble (there are some, but i find it minimal and can easily be solved by turning on 10% smoothening.) I think the pen activation point of a usi pen may be something that might concerns u more if you draw lines with a lot of light pressure, ie, cross hatching etc. It is difficult to draw short, fast, consistent line on low pressure pen press because the way the usi pen activates. The lines will come out at varying thickness eventhough i tried to use similar force at the start. So cross hatching is a no unless u manually adjust the brush settings. But for drawing normal lines then it totally fine. Once the pen activates pressure sensitivities works just fine for me. Pen battery so far not an issue as it lasted me really long and i haven't need to charge it yet after 2 days. All in all i think the tablet works pretty well especially for its price. However, let me be honest, I also own a Samsung tab s6 lite (2021) which is similar size to huion slate 10. So naturally, I would be comparing the two. Samsung Spen is using emr technology. Hence in term of line quality, it is better, have great sensitivity & activation point, and it is battery-less. Huion pen is weightier than Samsung pen, which actually something i kinda like when drawing tho. Samsung tab also is lighter, but huion tab have better ram, processor and battery being it is a newer released model. Samsung tab have better screen n also speaker, and most importantly, overall software experience. You d be surprised how good Samsung user experience compared to bare bone android. The finesse n little things Samsung put in their software is amazing and I only know how much I missed them when I tried other OS. Huion android OS feels lacking and too basic that i have to install Novalauncher. Needless to say, if you are looking for a android tablet for drawing, I would recommend u look for a Samsung tab. Tab S6 lite or Tab S7 FE would be a good more budget friendly option especially if u can get a used or refurbished model. However if u can find a Huion slate 10 tab at very low price like i did, well grab it! Hope this helps

@@SodaQuasar Thank you for the information, judging by your comments, it seems my worries aren't that much besides maybe the pen pressure, which is more concerning, but I rarely use brushes with pen pressure, I only typically use the normal pen/pencil/felt tip in Sketchbook on the desktop. It's good to hear that the wobble is minimal, although I will have to test myself the wobble and pen pressure. I don't care much for clean lines or the like as I drawing without smoothing. The problem with getting a S6 lite or whatever is the issue of the non laminated screens as well as you mentioned, older/less ram/less power. Matt screen protectors can also be applied to both, but the non laminated screen on other tablets may be a deal breaker. I don't plan on ever using big brushes or air brushes, etc. I'll bite the bullet and order one in the next couple weeks most likely. I can always return it if I am not satisfied. @sasminmahmutovic246 samsung tab s6 lite is using laminated screen actually. Hence no parallax issue etc. In term of ram, processor... so far my experience using it there were no issue as android app usually use pretty low resources. I never have any lags or not enough memory etc. Unless ur planning on playing game that is gpu heavy , like genshin impact etc of course. As far as drawing app goes, performance wise i would say very similar or negligible for both tablets. One thing that u might consider also is the updates. My Tab s6 lite (2021) is currently on android 13 and still getting security updates every month. However Huion tab is on android 12 and I m not sure if Huion will provide any updates to android 13 or 14 and security updates.. I hope they would, but i doubt it as with the case w many Chinese phone/tab. Samsung s6 lite also will be getting android 14. At least the s6 lite (2022) is confirmed, but I m not sure if mine (2021) version will get it too. For Tab s7 fe, yes it will get android 14. For me personally, no matter the hardware,a tablet will only be as good as its softwares package allows it to be.( i havent consider flashing the rom etc yet)

We appreciate you taking the time to review these units, especially in your current less than ideal situation. Looking forward to whenever you get a chance to review the new XP-Pad (Magic Drawing Pad). You seem to favour the Concepts App over Infinite Painter. If you had to choose would Concepts be your choice between the two?

It's not because of bad vibes towards Huion. I find it incredible that digital drawing brands are interested in offering a portable tablet 🙌✨. It's the beginning. I think this type of tablet would be for someone who is just starting art or rather for children 🤗

It's really really weird why Huion decided to create a product but without using their pen technology. That's the entire reason one would go for a Huion product, or a Wacom or anything else - for the pen. The protocol used for this pen is just some generic one. A used Samsung tab would be way way better because they always give you a really good S-pen. Very strange for a pen display company to make a tablet but not include their own technology lol.

They probably just want to sell products at more price category since the high end is now covered by their Kamvas Studio 16 and Kamvas Studio 24. Hopefully they will actually use their own pen tech in the tablet in the future.

@@teohontech7141 Yea but I imagine even an older PenTech of theirs would've been much better, so it's looking like some manager's side-quest lol. Very strange. Anyway, I'm looking forward to if/when you review the new Kamvas 19. There are some Chinese reviews you will perhaps understand better than us, but overall the 19 and 27 are looking pretty good!

If possible add some gaming tests for the reviews, just some quick tests dont need go to deep on it. Normally no one does this type of test. If you review the new Xp-pen tablet, consider this. I believe that Genshin is the most demanding game currently on Android, would be a cool test. Thank you for your attention, your videos are always very good and informative.

I just tried Genshin. Graphics settings has to be set to low for almost everything for gameplay to be smooth. And there will be noticeable pixelation with the game.

It looks interesting and it's good that brands are now interested in releasing portable tablets 😮. I think this is the beginning and it's good 👏✨...On the Huionb tablet the screen looks well reflective and the color quality is a little opaque 😶. I'm waiting for your review of the XPPen Magic Pad and share your experience of use 😃... for the moment I will continue experimenting with my gift tablet that was already given to me. I was previously expecting the S6 Lite but they upgraded me to an S9 FE 🤗❤ with the cover and I do love the pressure of the pencil drawing different thicknesses of strokes due to its pressure 😊

Hi, I want to buy a tablet for studying. I was a bit confused between the S9 Fe 64GB and the Xiaomi Pad 6 256GB, both with the original pen. I don't want to compromise on performance or features for note-taking; I want to use it for a long time, like 3-4 years. Can you make a comparison video for both like you did for the best tablet for note-taking in 2023? Shouled, I get the Samsung or Xiaomi because Samsung has lots of features and has been updated for 3-4 years, and Xiaomi has performance and a good amount of features for note-taking.

For notetaking you can get either. Both are good. Xiaomi will provide better value for money since it's price is lower. Having more OS update is nice, but your tablet and apps will still run without those updates.
